I found a hard inconsistancy on the show against established canon…

Established canon states that the bombs started hitting the US at 9:42 AM EST in Pennsylvania and New York and and the whole country within the next 5 minutes. The show has LA getting hit at the latest during the late AM. There is no way that birthday party was taking place at 6:42 AM.

Minor point, but a break from canon nonetheless.

There's always going to be inconsistencies between shows. I didn't see huge discrepancies. I think they've done a good job with the fallout environment.

I have a hard time trusting Amazon with shows based on things I loved. It seems like they are just incapable of high fantasy, but the rest they do well. I may have to change my initial hard no from when I heard about it.

100% agree. Like I said, it is a minor discrepancy. And to be honest, I am not certain where it was mentioned about the timing of the bomb hits. I got that timing from the wiki. During the opening scene of FO4, it is assumed to be early-ish, but I don’t remember any outright mention of a specific time.

They shit the bed with Wheel of Time (I never read the books, but the show legit sucks, and book-fans have crapped on it) and the LotR prequel, but they hit the ball out of the park with Boys and Invincible. And I LOVED this show. It was done with true respect to the source material.

On the subject of other shows... Yo, Cal, if you're done with Fallout and want to watch something else, come watch 3 Body Problem! :thumb: I think it's really good and the type of show you'd find interesting. I'd also be interested to see what you think of it as a non-book-reader if you haven't read the books it's based on yet.

I have been thinking of turning my Netflix back on, and I have heard good things of this show, so maybe I will.

I just started a rewatch of fallout, though. I am watching it expressly to find the Easter eggs that I missed in my first watch. Though, I think I caught most of them in my first watch.

What is with lucy trying not to collect anything? Every gamer collects something in fallout, and those bobbleheads need to be picked up.

Not to mention, the bobbleheads and reading magazines should give her noticable improvement.

The areas she exited had WAY too much junk still laying around.

Why are they just completely ignoring the game? Lazy writers!

Never played the games but knew the general ideas and plots from friends that played them. But even with limited knowledge, this show is excellent. It's well crafted enough that anyone can jump in, follow along and enjoy it.

In Season 2, you can see Maximus evolving into a bad guy in season 2.

I have only watched the first 2 episodes and as a huge fan of all the fallout games I will say this is a beautiful show that accurately depicts the game. I am sure they are pushing certain parts of the game into season 2 and I am glad they are going that route because I wouldn't want them to shove the entire game into 1 season. So super mutants, deathclaws, mirelurk queens, etc can be saved for next season.

I am guessing in season 2 the show will have some character development in which she will learn to craft items from junk because it wouldn't make sense for her to know that having lived her whole life in a vault.
