Bayne never really impressed me in the Busch series either. That Daytona 500 win is the only thing he has going for him. Stenhouse has shown signs of greatness in his Cup career, he just needs a good ride.

Penske uses the same equipment and they are competitive, so I really don't have an answer for why Roush has went so far down hill.

It's Ford, but its not the same equipment. Penske builds all their own stuff minus the engines (all Ford engines come from Roush Yates). Penske just has a far superior engineering department. Roush has been a mess for years, its just been a slow steady decline. It's mostly a combination of cutting corners, hiring the wrong people (mostly the Fenway Group changing how things were done), and just overall lack of communication between teams and departments. If they're smart, they'll keep all the people involved with the Xfinity teams (Buecher and Wallace) together for the next year or two and move them all to Cup. Keep that chemistry and knowledge base together. Then just clean out the people involved with the Cup operations.
