or maybe Colorado State and UNLV
I mean, who wouldn't want to go to Las Vegas for some games en sech
and have a built in rivalry already like BYU and Utah State.

Hell, maybe all 4 of those schools.

Those would be ok but I'd add Penn (for academics, market and region ), UCF or UConn before Utah State.

WTF, there was no more meaningful game in WVU history than 13-9, to even mention a team we've played four times in the same breath as a hundred year rival is ridiculous.

The Baylor/TCU games have been more nationally relevant in the last 4 years than a Pitt or SU game has been in a loooong time. When was the last time WVU and a BE member made ESN gameday?
Heck,Marshall has more prestige than Pitt at this point. Beat Pitt and nobody outside of Morgantown and a very small portion of Pittsburgh knows or cares at this point.

Since Holgorsen arrived NO game involving WVU has been relevant........the best we can claim is playing spoiler........Michigan has been on a lull as well, do OSU fans belittle the rivalry? sPitt is our rival, and will always be seen as such by long term fans. WTF does gameday have to do with anything?????????

NO, you are dead wrong, Mad, the B12 was trying to make up a WVU-IAST rivalry because everyone else already had a league rival. get a clue

Oh I get it. Since IAST was our schedule during Rivalry Week, your dumbass took it as the Big 12 as forcing it to be our new rival. Gotcha...dumbass.

Big difference. OSU and Michigan still play each other. Pitt and WVU do not. Can't be much of a rivalry if you don't play the game.

WTF do you mean by "sPitt is our rival, and will always be seen as such by long term fans"? Your the only one holding on to this notion. Pitt will be a rival again once we play each other on a set frequency.

We really should not develope our facilities now, that will make us less attractive in the future. :L

Big games like we had in Morgantown last year vs. TCU and Baylor puts the school and program in the national spotlight and is great for exposure nationally.
Your correct to a point in that SO FAR we have played the spoiler role in the big games but if memory serves isn't that exactly the role we played way back when Penn State and Pitt were a factor on the national CFB landscape?
We will have our years and time in the sun too at some point be it under Holgorsen or someone else.

The first conference game in Morgantown vs Baylor. I have lost count of the people I've been in contact with that mentions that game as one of their favorite games all time...AND THEY ARE NOT FANS OF EITHER TEAM!

Having Game Day in Morgantown last year was sweet. WVU was displayed for the whole country to see. In today's world with a half dozen games on at the same time, the entire country does not get to focus on just one game. That was great exposure.

The game had a bad outcome… but, man oh man… a last second game winning FG? For real… that is good stuff!

How many times did ESPN come to Motown to do Game Day for the Backyard Brawl?

Nope. If it weren't for Stew, Mountaineer Football would not exist today. He stayed and took over a program that a Native Son turned his back on. Stew coached up the entire staff, including Calvin McGee. Rumor has it that it was Stew that told Calvin about a player by the name of Tito Gonzalez who played at a position that was forgotten since Mark Raugh and Anthony Becht. If you talk to Slaton, he'll tell you that John Talley was the best player at this position, when he wasn't playing QB. Anyways, both BCS games belong to Stew and we would have won a NC by now if Eddie P was still at the helm of the AD Department. Eddie would have figured out a way to get Pitt and VT back on the schedule surely by now. We were will on our way in having PSU back on the schedule but JoPa's tenure outlasted Fast Eddie P.

I know programs that brag about a win when they only score 13 points...

Complete Garbage, Eddie P would NOT have found a way to get Pitt and VT back on the schedule. Eddie P would have put us in the ACC.
