Old Lion
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain
Les Paul and Stevie Ray Vaughn were 2 best from a strictly technical standpoint IMO. Jimi had more creativity maybe, but that dude could also have some stinkers when his head was not right.

There are probably some excellent ones too that never got famous. Some of those old bluesman really do not get enough credit because they just did not have good enough recording equipment back in those days and most did not have the money to do that sort of stuff anyway. Those guys were the inspiration to many of the people we are talking about here.
I saw Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown do that in concert back in the late 70's...
Alvin Lee could play with the best of them, Toy Caldwell was a unique player. Charlie Daniels said Toy played the guitar as subtle as a virgin's first kiss or as hard as whore screwing on a Saturday night depending on the song.
That is only your opinion. I disagreed with some of your picks but didn't make any snide remarks. Maybe you should show others the same courtesy.Ted Nugent is good for the rock genre, but definitely doesn't belong on a greatest of all time list. You will of course have something to say in response to that.
