As do I.

When I was in Cancun a couple weeks ago, we wes in the pool suckin' down a drink and suddenly a group of people across the way crank up the jump around song.....

I look over and see about a dozen or so Wisconsin fans wearing their Badgers shirts jumping around in the pool. Thought about walking right into the middle of their little party singing the Nebraska fight song, but soon remembered that Wisconsin has beat us by a total of 1,938 points in Football and Basketball over the past 3 seasons.

LOL at those pasty boys wearing shirts in the pool.

I will say, we saw fans from almost every Big 10 school there on that tiny resort, but Nebraska fans were there in full force. There wes Husker gear everywhere.

Put's a truly scary light on Tim Miles and the direction of this program. Says last years run was a fluke and this years slump may or may not be.

I agree with RA. In fact, it's not even really an opinion it's just a fact. Miles needs to install something different on Offense before the tourney. If he doesn't, then I'll start to question him a bit, because that would be a Bop-like move.

It's now or never, and being stubborn and trying to force the same thing over and over when it's not working is about the same as giving up.

I would also like to see him open the game in a press for about 4 or 5 minutes, instead of waiting until we're down 20 points. Get some momentum right off the bat and give the players something to feel confident about. There are teams out there that press 35 out of 40 minutes, so it's not a question of whether or not they can.

As far as flukes go......I believe in 1-game flukes, but entire seasons? Not a chance.

Sometimes you're hot, sometimes you're not. We know what this group is capable of when they're both hot and not.

This is the 2nd time this year the OWH has written a piece on how last year was a fluke. We finished 4th in the conference for shit sake! That would have to be the biggest coincidence of all time. We just got hot and had chemistry.

Realistically though, nobody expected a year like we had last year. In that sense, we have pretty much the same team as last year, so for that reason expecting the NCAA tournament was probably a stretch. The fact that we have some talent coming in keeps me hopeful.

Here's another thing......

Petteway has already tied his total for turnovers from last season. Shavon has gone over his total from last season. And Benny has tripled his total already from last season.

That's a sign something needs to change on Offense.

Last year Shavon had 51 turnovers on the entire year.

This year he's at 76 and counting. That is extremely disappointing coming from a guy as intelligent and experienced as Shavon.

He's damn neared matching Petteway in turnovers for crying out loud.

Pitchford and Tarin have been decent taking care of the ball this year. That's our bright spot.

I swear to you guys......I am not Dirk.

I also really dislike how Miles doesn't like to pressure on Defense.

When your Offense is struggling to get something going you need to create turnovers so you can score points in transition. Instead we try to win in the half court and because we have no shooters we can't keep up.

Also, transition is where you get to the free throw line. We had 5 free throw attempts last night. We actually scored more baskets from the field than Illinois, but they had 15 more points at the FT line.

Dirk said:
I’d like to see Miles extend the defense next year. Get after opponents. Force turnovers, pick up the pace and create transition opportunities. Nebraska won’t have big guys. But it will have a plethora of long, fast wings. Take advantage of it.

The more offense NU can create in transition, the less it has to rely on running high ball screens at the end of the shot clock.
