Yeah and history DOES include recent history. This isn't a poll about who was better before WWII. Storied includes ALL of the stories that can be told about a program.

Also, Miami might have been storied the last 35 years, I think GT has been more storied the last 10 and far more storied before 1980. GT had their Era, just like The U Era.

Piss on you - you can only see from 1983 - 2001. So what - 20 years makes a "storied" program? You need to look at the body of work overall.

Or look in a dictonary and come to terms with what "STORIED" actually means.

Storied to me means more than just wins or losses. Those have a lot to do with it sure but here is one example. How many universities are in this country? yet if you say The U to a college football fan who does that person think of? If you say Tech it is going to vary by region. Next you will be wanting us to say the Cleveland Browns are more storied than the Dallas Cowboys.

Damn, let's see one had coach who has trophy named after him but I consider a bad sport due to running up the score on school that had dropped football but he demanded they play anyway. The other started a bowl game to highlight their school (and town I guess). Neither has been consistent for really long stretches though and tend to fall off the map at times. (Wait, that last part could be Colorado...) Decisions, decisions...

GT is not a university, FWIW. Tech and The U are nicknames, nothing more. The fact that 2 other schools in FBS may refer to themselves as Tech does not change the fact that GT is the more storied program throughout the entire history of the two teams.

Tech began football in 1892. Miami began in 1926. So Tech had 30 years of mucking on the gridiron, numerous stories, interesting history, and 1 natty before Miami ever showed up on the scene.
