You know what if the kid didn't pick Notre Dame because they took a QB in this class do you really want a player like that, because I don't it shows he just wants things handed to him and that doesn't happen when you are playing on a football field against top teams in the country.

I agree but as a recruit I wouldn't want to go to ND if the coaches lied to him. U can look at it both ways. U don't relly know the full story. Im kind of agreeing with Henry. It wouldn't shock me if coaching staff told him that.

Either way hope it turns out to be the best for both players. They are in with the #3 QB in the country and many think he is a better fit for ND

I don't wish the kid any ill will and I can't believe they told him they aren't taking a QB, they may have told him if you commit we won't take a QB but he never committed and Wimbush flipped oh well. He's more likely to get things handed to him at FSU than Notre Dame just look at Jameis Winston.

I'm betting a few guys decommit after that stinker. This team sucks the defense isn't playing well and hasn't for weeks and yes they are young but Northwestern's offense is terrible and they couldn't stop them. I'm not watching any more games I just can't take watching this trash.

Soso announced his final 2. ND and UCLA.

CB Ross is down to USC and ND

DT Wilkins is going to visit ND soon. ND running 3rd right now.

Top TE Jones is still between UCLA and ND. ND looks good here.

St brown still has ND as #1. This is ND top target right now.

DT Buncom still has Irish in the mix. ND is 3rd here.

I think you mean DB Buncom unless they are after a DT named Buncom as well.

Also Golson needs a 5th year to come back right?, because I wouldn't let him into a graduate program if that were the case. Let him play for someone else.

Well, Hoge has signed his paperwork to enroll early. I just read that Jerry Tillery has signed his paperwork, but it isn't official yet because he is faxing it tomorrow. I am really hoping that Tillery follows through. For a long time I suspected he would be one of the ones to decommit. LSU has been on him hard, he's had numerous unoffical visists there and is obviously close to there and has friends and family pushing him to stay. Given our end-of-year nosedive, he seemed like the most ripe for the picking off.

But he's been pretty open about his longtime love of the Irish, and not just the usual recruit lip-service. He seems like he's been a life-long fan. Getting Hoge and Tillery in as EE's will help bolster the O-line, which could use some fixing up, if not reinforcements.

I guess the caveat is, the financial paperwork doesn't actually bind them, they can technically sign the same papers elsewhere, up until the point they enroll. So there's a legitimate shot these guys can be flipped. The advantage is, we have unlimited access to them if they sign the papers, and that includes the dead period.

Tillery has stated he hasn't signed paperwork with any other school. His only OV left is to ND, scheduled for next week, so nobody else really has a shot at him. My concern is only with LSU.

Add Michah Dew-Treadway to the list. He's signed his paperwork too. Word is BVG is supposed to be visiting Tevon Coney this week and Coney said he'll sign if they bring the paperwork.

Tillery 100% in on ND now. Just sent them. He is all locked up now. He did not send one to LSU.

That is great news for EE's is the most they could take I believe. The coaching staff needs to add four or five more guys.

What is the significance of this to ND? Is he someone they were recruiting? Did he attend the awards show and then decommit? I ask because I don't know. Don't even know what position he plays.

He is a RB out of Texas that visited Notre Dame this weekend I believe he is the #2 RB in Texas behind Jamabo. I think he is a top 10 player at his position according to most sites #5 according to ESPN.

Thanks! Jamabo cooling on ND? I know there's been a lot of chatter about the number of RB's we're pursuing, coupled with some rumors about issues with Folston and Bryant (ranging from disciplinary matters to one or both considering leaving). Don't know if its coincidence because I don't know if the rumors are BS. They were both allegedly leaving last year too.

No way Folston leaves. He is the lead back. Bryant might because now its been 2 years and he still isn't getting enough carries. He did look good last game.

I'm not sure if he's cooling or not they also might want more than 4 rb's on the roster or they may be considering Adams at LB.
