I just was wondering the same thing. Tomlinson, no back problems!
Still early, granted, but I wonder if KT can stick at 2B. He has a good defensive rep, but from what I have seen so far, I am not impressed.

Moving him to CF, however, may be a VERY good idea...

He does not look all the comfortable at second.

Scouts have said that he fits much better at SS, and could easily fit in CF. For his sake, it would be smart if he could play the outfield if he wants a job next year.

I am not sure about that. I had him pegged as the primary util player for 2016 at least as far back as ST this year.

Adding OF to his quiver would certainly not hurt. Especially when there is potentially a starting job there for his taking...

As I was watching last night's game, I noticed I got nervous any time the ball was hit to KT. Man, do I miss Panik over there. At least KT's bat is looking good so far. I haven't seen Adrianza enough at 2nd to comment on his defense but offensively, he's worse than the pitcher a few nights a week. If Panik is out for a while, I'd probably prefer KT over Adrianza for the offense.

If he is more comfortable in center field, I'd say move him over. However, I think there are too many outfielders the front office likes for that to be within the realm of possibility, at least for the rest of this season. That, and Bochy seems to not like moving guys in season (except for Belt, of course).

I agree that if KT does make the move, it will not be until 2016, earliest.

Although, with his wheels and his bat (what we have seen in SF as well as his minor league record) would show that he would be more than adequate in CF.

Scutaro was old and Freddie Sanchez was beat up and injury prone. Panik is young and a potential star for years to come. I hope it isn't something serious.

And Panik does not have any injury history at all with his back.

Heston optioned to Sac to make room for Byrd. Complementary move tomorrow when Leake is activated. My guess is JCP gets sent down.

Heston going down today makes a LOT of sense.

Leake officially announced as tomorrow's starter. That is GREAT news!. Although, I think they are going to want to keep JCP's defense on the team. With Aoki and Byrd, the OF defense needs a bit of assistance.

Would Lollis be the one to go? Has he been optioned yet?

It hasn't been announced yet. It will be either Lollis or JCP, though.

If they want to go with offence, JCP will be sent down. If they want defense and speed, Lollis will be sent down.

I suspect they will keep the D and speed (Lollis gets sent down), but both are valid options.
