Brady, Smith and Howell..

That'd have to be the biggest collective range of QB ages on a team in NFL history lmao.

23, 34 (about to be), and 46 I think? Almost a perfect 11 year gap between em?
Sam can call him daddy

Fair enough. Throw the 9ers in the mix then. They could get quite a bit for Purdy.
Would they move Purdy? It's not like Brady would be a long term option (might not be a second year option).

I don't think Brady would really consider this anyway, I think he's trolling a bit.

So if Hurts goes down the Eagles are Super Bowl favorites. Good to know.

It all depends on what they internally think about Purdy. Can he carry a team for the most part? The 49ers were one of the oldest teams in the NFL last season. I imagine they begin to run into some age and salary cap problems in the next 2-3 years, about the time that Purdy will be up for a big contract.

I think they do have Deebo and Mac signed through the 2026 season, but I think that year would be the same time that Brock Purdy is due for an extension too. I think most the core is signed through 2025 though.

If SF thinks that Brady can get them a SB, I imagine they will think long and hard about pulling that trigger. Brock could be kept or more likely traded for some nice draft capital, especially if a team can still have him cheap for another 2-3 seasons.

I do think you are correct. This is more of Brady having fun than being serious situation.

To push all of their chips in the middle for next year. It would be a huge risk, but it could pay off. Brady is the only QB to defeat Mahomes more than once in the playoffs.

A 46-47-year-old QB needs...no absolutely must have...one of the top five offensive lines in the NFL. I'm pretty sure all five of those OLs already have their QB. And I don't think Seattle is one of the top five. I doubt if they are one of the top 10. They may not be one of the top 15. Brady is obviously one of the smartest QBs to ever play in the league. He knows how to avoid injury but he can't creat effectiveness all by himself. It's OL execution that allows him to be effective. It wasn't there his last year in TB.
