all 3 have no future with us . Gilmartin is another .
only good thing about this year .Well ... the wounded and pitiful Birds are the first team to 100 losses.
Congratulations.
Barring a miracle collapse by KC, and/or an untimely win streak, the O's should have the #1 pick of the 2019 draft order secured.
Orioles outfield prospect Austin Hays is set to undergo surgery to repair an ankle fracture, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com was among those to report. Hays, who made his big league debut last September after an enormous minor league season sent him skyrocketing up national prospect rankings, was limited to 75 games in 2018 and batted just .235/.266/.410 in that time. Though he’s had a brief cup of coffee in the Majors, Hays has yet to even suit up for a Triple-A game; he hit .329/.365/.593 with 32 homers, 32 doubles and five triples between Class-A Advanced and Double-A last season and spent the bulk of 2018 in Double-A (when healthy). Hays had been slated to play in the Arizona Fall League, but it seems he’ll now forgo that to clean up the lingering ankle issue that has plagued his 2018 season. He only recently turned 23 and is still viewed as an important piece of the Orioles’ future, though the 2018 season looks to have gone down as something of a lost season for the 2016 third-rounder. Hays himself has also confirmed that he’ll have surgery tomorrow (Twitter link).
Just 10 more games before this season is mercifully over. This season was probably one I have watched the least of since I can remember.Baltimore has already surpassed the team record of 107 losses set by the 1988 team.
Currently, they have 108 losses. Will they tie or eclipse the all-time franchise record for losses of 111 set by the 1939 St. Louis Browns?
hard part is they working on who is the best utility guy . I wonder if the o's are willing to eat davis contract ?Just 10 more games before this season is mercifully over. This season was probably one I have watched the least of since I can remember.
I'd be extremely shocked if they ate the Davis contract. If there was a way to get Davis off the team, they'd have to have some type of negotiation to reduce the salary to let him become a free agent, which I don't see happening.hard part is they working on who is the best utility guy . hell I say line up the best 25 and see who sticks ? so lf steward , mullins cf hays rf villar short mountcastle 3rd boom boom 1st 2nd anyone not named beckham . catching I luv caleb but time to let him go . martin C wynns and sisco war
dam that list is old and ugly . the rest out of our price range if britton would fall cheap enough . I would get the team together let them grow . we need to try some of the new guys or get rid of them . I like some of the pitchers that don't have to be protected over the trade guys . klein , scott , givens , casrtro , wright bp .I'd be extremely shocked if they ate the Davis contract. I'd definitely like to keep Villar on the team unless someone offers us something too good to pass up for him. He'd be a good building block to start around in the infield. I think that Mancini is unfortunately stuck in the outfield as long as Davis and Trumbo remain on the team. If Trumbo gets traded, I can see them moving Mancini to first and just having Davis DH. Agree that Beckham and Caleb should be shown the door.
Here's a list of the free agents this offseason if you think any would look good on a one year deal to let some of the guys develop a little bit more. 2018-19 MLB Free Agents
I wouldn't be surprised if we dealt Villar during the Winter Meetings. He was one of the few bright spots the last couple of months.Well ... a new loss record has been achieved.
Even if they sweep the Stros in the last 4 games of the season, nothing will change the fact that this has been the worst season in the history of the Oriole franchise.
Machado is gone. Schoop is gone. Jones and Trumbo will probably be dealt in the off season -- while Davis will continue to collect big money.
Unbelievable.
Heads need to roll ...

Also, Jones won't be dealt in the offseason since he's a free agent but I don't really see a scenario where he comes back. I don't think we deal Trumbo until the trade deadline next July since he doesn't really have a lot of value at the moment unless of course someone gives us an offer too good to pass up, which I highly doubt.
Also, I don't see what the point is of playing the double header Saturday. Neither team has anything to gain or lose from playing that extra game. Should've just cancelled it outright.
I think that Villar is probably our highest valued guy right now since Bundy has been in a freefall for the 2nd half of the season. So if we can turn him around for even more prospects, I'm all for it.I think villar is our shortstop or spot holder . we need a gap filler after next year we may have our shortstop at aa . I love him and mullins back to back .

Except a good defense isn't going to matter when he's been giving up as many homers as he has this year.I think bundy has been pitching hurt a lot this year . what could a good D and pitching coach do with his talent . most of our team take 1 run off the era our D range has been bad all year . steward covers a lot of ground along with mullins .
