LOL.thats still a foul per the rules. we would never see a foul called on 3 pointers and outside shots ater the ball is released if that were the case. there would never be a 4 point play ever if the contact after the shot isnt called.

We are talking about different things. It wasn’t Brooks job to surround KD with shooters. I do wish they would have ran him off sooner though.
What could have been I guess, looking back I just don’t see the shooters besides Durant. But that was a totally different era.Scott Brooks was a miserable NBA coach.
He had James Harden and washed Derek Fisher splitting minutes the year they made the Finals.
Even worse, beyond washed Kendrick Perkins was splitting minutes with Serge Ibaka!
And the worst part about that? Literally the only thing Perkins brought on the court at that time was excellent post defense. And they gave him all those minutes against Miami in the Finals who had almost no post threat!
On top of that…
He allowed KD to match up with LeBron instead of defensive specialist Thabo.
What happens there?
Early foul trouble in multiple games for KD.
All elementary coaching errors that most high school coaches wouldn’t make.
IMO, if OKC had a coach that actually added value…
They win 2-3 titles in that era.

Fans of 29 other teams in the league do believe there is a Lakers whistle. So whether it’s true or not, Lakers are never going to get any sympathy from the vast majority of NBA fans.
My point wasn’t whether it was true or false, it’s just that fans believe it so they aren’t going to sympathize when they perceive that the Lakers get to take some of their own medicine.Well shit, if opposing fans believe it, it has to be true.

Funny how players always blame Refs when they lose but never give credit to Refs when they win because of them. When has LeBron ever come out and say “I appreciate the Refs giving me those extra fouls that helped us seal the victory”?
Exactly. The announcers said it and so did the refs when they overturned it. Contact was after the ball was released.
Yeah, that last part especially. It's a fine line that a coach has to walk. He needs to be able to call out the refs without low key providing an excuse for the players. Phil was a master at that.
I don’t think the lakers were saying that’s why they lost it’s just inexcusable to get hit in the face like that and it overturned. At what point is it not about protecting players? The wrong player gets hit like that and says oh that’s not a foul? ok well don’t be surprised when I go hit the guy who hit me. Pretty sure both times Anthony got Davis got hit in face near the end of the season causing him to miss games that neither were foul calls on the play. What would Ron artest/world peace whatever he calls himself these days do?
Wrong. And after the shot is released on 3's is normally because the defender stepped into the shooters landing area which can cause injury.
Your ref bullshit is old and tired.

So hitting a player in the face can't cause injury? Someone should tell AD that those games lost to eye injuries this year weren't necessary.
