Yep. The CP3 trade was nullified and Dwight flaked out. Pau was a contemporary. They didn't get any high leverage draft picks until the very end, which were later aggregated into AD.

There is a lot of speculation in this thread and there is some doable wish list here. For one, I don't see the Lakers winning the Mitchell Sweepstakes especially if Gilbert re-signs or extends him. Secondly, the Lakers don't need to rush to find Power Forward help when they already have a guy that could be inserted into the starters role if indeed Hachimura is sent packing. Christian Wood is sitting right there. But it is entertaining.

I think Redick could succeed....he is smart and great at analyzing the game....he also strikes me as the type who could transition to the role better than say Nash did.

I just don't want to chance it.

People are overstating things, getting a bit silly. He's Riley like in that he would be a former player and TV analyst becoming a coach. If they're implying he'll have Riley's success, that's putting the cart way in front of the horse lol.

They JUST finished interviewing those candidates this week. They have yet to interview the candidate that DJ had getting a second interview already from what I can find.

They need to speed up their process; the Cavs just fired Bickerstaff. They now have competition for these candidates.

Yea they do but according to this article, the Lakers are slowing things down to a more methodical pace. IMO, there is a lot of double talk in this one. How can you expect your next HC to set boundaries in the locker room and hold players accountable and then favor Redick when he has a business venture with one of his potential players and is also his buddy??
