The Nick Bosa holdout looks to carry into the season. Wednesday is the official start to the NFL game week so I think they have to declare his status by then.


Also looks like Kittle is battling some sort of groin issue. He was held out of practice but was seen sprinting so it sounds merely precautionary and I wouldn't say he's doubtful to play.

Pass rush-wise, Javon is gonna feast, OC is going to need constant help.

I'm not worried about the edge like I am the middle. Even if Bosa is on the field, who I think is overrated like Garrett.

Then all these analysts hop on the hype train and a majority pick them to win.

Sadly as much as I want to see them come out and blow this out of the water, I see a revert to the typical Canada scheme and the Steelers losing 24-14.

I'll need to see sustained success with playcalling before I start buying into the offensive hype. Too many times we've watched his sorry-ass offense squander the first 3 quarters of every game before they find some semblance of a pulse. Predictability has always been Canada's M-O... With dashes of Mickey-Mouse football thrown in. Have a hard time believing all that got cleaned up in the course of 1 offseason.

Love this team & their mindset right now, and I truly believe Canada is the only person that can f*ck this up. This feels like shades of 2004-2005 when everyone was singularly focused, selfless, and just wanting to win 1 game at a time. They are a young group still so I expect some adversity. But they have all the talent in the world to compete with the best the AFC has to offer.

Tough division & tough conference. Should be able to claw out a 6th or 7th seed if they can stay healthy & the offense doesn't fall flat again.

We have plenty of reason to be skeptical as long as Canada is OC.

We know they have the players to be explosive and productive. We also know that Canada is willing to handicap everyone and call shit plays.

The pitchforks are sharp and the torches are oiled. The fans will call for blood from the first drive if Canada keeps Canada-ing this offense.

I think this game will be a tough battle in the trenches. If Kenny continues the gunslinging mentality then they should be able to put up points. The 9ers secondary doesn't look all that great. But this is Matt Canada... And Matt Canada does not scheme against an opponent's weaknesses lol. They will likely play right into the '9ers strengths and run the ball repeatedly.

Steelers would do themselves a lot of favors if they got an early lead. I think the Steelers D will be up to the task of handling the 9ers offense, but I don't discount Shanahan's ingenuity. He'll find a way to poke holes.

I'm still skeptical of the offense just like everyone else. I'm just still not sure how much of the blame is Tomlin and how much is Canada. My hope is that Canada was hamstrung by Tomlin and Tomlin is going to let him do more of what he wants to do and that is where we will see improvement at OC. I believe in the talent on both sides of the ball though.
