'Pen, not minors.

Lincecum is going to be a perfect fit for the Disney Angels of Anaheim.

woops, yes bullpen....

I still would think he would want to be a starter and "get paid" starter money compared to bp... But at this point he should take any job out there.

I understand his desire for a fresh start elsewhere. ITs not the fact that the Giants wanted him on a minor league contract, its the fact that these major league teams have great arms while each free agency period, their fans and the general managers want to replace them. Look at the rotation the Dodgers had and they get three more starters and blow their playoffs.

You are at work, doing your job, having some struggles, so your boss replaces you with someone else for more money and tells you to take a step down or 4 and take less money to stay there, just in case that new guy does not work out, they will do you a favor and give you that position back. I know fans believe all major leaguers are jaded and spoiled multi millionaires, but the competitive kid in some of them still exist.

Wow......I missed this. However, Lincecum has been on a steady decline over the last several years and he's now past 30.

Watched him give up 8 runs in 1 1/3 innings to the Astros last month.

Kind of sad how far he has fallen.
