Today is the day. I know we’re likely rooting for the 49ers here, not just because they’re playing the Chiefs but because of how many Broncos connections the current 49ers have.
I think it’s going to be a tough game to pick. I believe the Niners are better across the roster but the most explosive play makers are with the Chiefs. The Niners offense, which actually was a higher scoring unit, has gotten little to know attention as the game approached. The Chiefs defense has played well beginning in November and through the playoffs.
If it weren’t for the fact we’re watching a rival with the chance to win a championship this game would be a gem. And honestly it will be either way.
That 49ers defense is still better than the Chiefs though. And the offense, while not explosive as the chiefs, is a very capable unit. Plus the Chiefs have shown a propensity to start slow and that was against far lesser teams in the Texans and Titans. If they spot the Niners 10+ it will be a lot harder to overcome.
So here’s my pick: both teams trade blows but 49ers score late to ice was a close game throughout. 49ers 41, Chiefs 28.
or something like that.
