Who wants to bet that Max Starks won't be resigned at some point this season? Left tackle has been a plague for how long now?
Well, here's some encouragement: Every year since 2009, the team that plays Philadelphia in the Eagles' home opener has gone on to win the Super Bowl that season.
Congrats on getting that last slot, Charger fans. I hope you guys shock the world
I hope they don't!!! lol
Quick stats for ya'll regarding the Bengals, take them for what it is worth.....
Bengals are 3-0 against division leaders this year: GB, NE, INDY
Bengals are 4-0 against playoff teams this year (that included your team from earlier in the year).
Bengals are 8-0 at home this year.
In the last 5 games at home this year, they have scored: 49, 41, 42, 42, 34
The Bengals defense is ranked #3 in the NFL going into the playoffs.
Bengals are one of the top teams in the NFL in placing guys on IR, which include: Leon Hall (#1 CB), Geno Atkins (#1 DT), Taylor Mays (backup SS and backup coverage LB), Emmanuel Lamur (top coverage LB), Robert Geathers (#3 DE), Clint Boling (#1 LG), Kevin Huber (Punter), Alex Smith (#3 TE), Devon Still (#3 DT) plus one of our top offensive threats, Hawkins missed half the season on the IR/Recall list. Including tons of inactive players throughout weeks due to smaller injuries, like both Gresham and Eifert out last week against the Ravens (#1 and #2 TE).
I was really rooting for the Chargers to make the playoffs, but based on the way Cincinnati plays at home, and how you struggled last week against a Chiefs team that rested a lot of its stars, I am thinking the Chargers have their hands full with Newman (#2 CB), Gresham (#1 TE) and Eifert (#2 TE) all due back this next week against you. I think your offense may need to score more than 30+ points against our #3 ranked defense who has 6 defensive TD's at home this year.
Good luck to you guys, but not enough luck to beat us. Cincinnati needs a win in the playoffs to get this huge ape off our back that has been hanging around for 23 years!
