I'm going to do a Poll for each spot in the First Round, two days each for the first five and a day after that.

I will always put the maximum number of options based upon mock drafts around the web.

Assume no trade ups or downs.

First up, Minnesota:

Current Roster:

5 Gorgui Dieng C 25 6-11 233 Louisville $1,413,480
21 Kevin Garnett PF 39 6-11 253 $12,000,000
41 Justin Hamilton C 25 7-0 255 LSU $816,482
4 Robbie Hummel SF 26 6-9 219 Purdue $880,000
8 Zach LaVine PG 20 6-5 183 UCLA $2,055,840
23 Kevin Martin SG 32 6-7 204 Western Carolina $6,792,500
15 Shabazz Muhammad SF 22 6-6 227 UCLA $1,971,960
12 Gary Neal SG 30 6-4 210 Towson $3,250,000
50 Arinze Onuaku F 27 6-9 275 Syracuse
3 Adreian Payne PF 24 6-10 245 Michigan State $1,855,320
14 Nikola Pekovic C 29 6-11 295 $12,100,000

I think Justice Winslow will be the best player from this draft. Though I think Towns will be good too. I also think Tyus Jones will be good, much better than a late 1st round pick.

So are you saying the Wolves should pick a SF at #1 when they have the rookie of the year at SF? That sounds as bad as if someone drafted PGs back-to-back in the first round.

Okafor.

He fills a position of need and he shares the same agent as Wiggins.

You can never start kissing your franchise players ass to early.

Make him happy so that he wants to stay.

I think of Winslow as more of a 2.

And the Wolves have Pekovic down low. He ain't bad at all.

I'm not sure how NBA scouts evaluate talent, but I watched as much college ball as anybody and I think Winslow will be good. Today's NBA is also getting away from plodding down-low big men.

Like I said before, whomever gets Tyus Jones will also get a steal I think.

Then again, I also said the Clippers would win it all this year. :dhd:

If True, reason #2 of why I'd pick Okafor> Towns

Unless the Timberpups want to become the NBDL/Farm Team for the Lakers, like the Magic are.

Adrian Wojnarowski: If Karl-Anthony Towns is determined to get to Lakers, it'll be interesting to see how agreeable his camp will be to meeting with Minnesota. Twitter @WojYahooNBA

I would take okafor. I think Towns is the safer pick. Towns is the better all around player(right now) but Okafor can be special. Really needs to work on his free throws. If Im Minn I take Okafor and team him up with Wiggins. Lakers are happy with either one. Knicks miss out but they still get their PG that they really need.

Like the Jazz did with Trey Burke and Dante Exum? (Exum may be a SG when it's all said and done, though.)

Towns for me at #1.

Another guy who has a huge draft range right now is Trey Lyles. I think he's going to be a really good player at the next level. The system didn't really allow him to shine. Especially when they had Towns and WCS to go to in the paint, he didn't really get a chance to show what he could do. His skill set should translate well to the NBA.

Dieng can cover up Okafor's non-existent D.

The kid gets buckets and Wiggins needs help carrying the load.
Who plays PF between Okafor and Dieng though? I see a big spacing problem there since Okafor doesn't have much of an 18 footer. Dieng also struggled at the four. For this reason, I think towns is the better pick since his j is a little smoother. You can't really go wrong with either though.
