Well let's see who emerges as the favorite this week-end for the Penske track in California on June 27th.

Honda horsepower as apparently caught Chevrolet as Honda occupies the first two spots in the first practice for the race on Sunday. Marco had the fastest lap at 217 mph and change this morning.

Ryan Briscoe has the fastest lap now in practice now at 217.415 over Marco.

Scott Dixon breaks out with the fastest lap right before qualifying.

Pagenaud takes the pole followed by Castroneves and Marco Andretti. This race is tomorrow. I'll get my picks in the morning.

What a frantic race at very high speeds. Lots of lead changes.

Newgarden and Carpenter cannot get out of each other's way and they are teammates into the wall.

Rahal is really flirting with a wreck as he insists on squeezing people during passing.

Past the 3/4 mark of the race.

Rahal's pit screwed-up royally. Problem with fueling.

Power, Dixon, and Hunter-Reay, top three at lap 192.

Sato just cannot avoid an accident. He and Power get into and they are both out.

Dixon touches Sato and Sato collects Power. Toast for Power and Sato.

Rahal, Kanaan, and Briscoe as they red-flag the race. Rahal is expected to get a penalty for the fuel hose problem leaving the pits a while back.

Here we go. Three-lap shoot-out. This ought to be interesting.

Holy cow, the two Ryans take each other out. Hunter-Reay and Briscoe wreck and they call the race under caution. Rahal wins it!

Carem came down adn Montoliet came up and close the gapeHunter-Reay was in and Hunter-Reay clips Briscoe and toastola.

The finish order is Rahal, Kanaan, and Andretti.
