We'll for sure lose to the Islanders (them & the Lightning are the 2 best teams in the Eastern Conference IMO).

Hurricanes play us tough but I think we could beat them.

We then lose to the Flyers but beat the Capitals.

Another .500 week but I'll take it

Good win by the Pens tonight. Thought they really outplayed the Islanders throughout this game, just that Jean Francois Berube had a great game. I'll take the shootout win here.

I think we have a very real shot to catch the Rangers. But either way, I'm pretty confident we'll hold onto our playoff spot. The team's playing well enough right now to do that.

And yeah, Berube was excellent tonight, especially in the overtime. Made a couple very sharp saves on good shots from good scoring areas.

I would have loved to have seen Dumoulin bury that one-timer, though. The passes from Kessel to Bonino and Bonino to Dumoulin were just too pretty for that play to not end in a goal.

Also, Dumoulin overall played an outstanding hockey game. He continues to be excellent this year. And Schultz really fits this system. I love him on the powerplay. Great at getting shots through.

Fleury was brilliant last night. I knew that they'd want to avenge that loss in Brooklyn from last week. The whole team played an excellent defensive game, and they come away with two more critical points. Would have liked to see them get it in OT, but they still remain 3 points clear of the Wings with a game in hand. They also have two more regulation/OT wins than Detroit, and three more than the Cryers. That could prove critical if it came down to a tie between the three.

Good news is that even if the Flyers catch/pass us, the Red Wings are fading right now. We should get the 8th spot and open up against the Capitals, who I would rather face than the Lightning.
