The flip side to that, champs, is that other than UNLV putting up 71, no one has scored 70 on us all year. I don't think they score in the 70s tonight, even at home.

Fuck you Furd!!!!

Randle is pretty damn underrated. Him, Wallace and Wright are a real pain in the ass in PAC play.

Some really underrated guards in the Pac. I'd put NWG just under them, too (14.6ppg and 6.6apg isn't too shabby).

Looks like the refs are getting more TV time than the players. :gaah:
Hope that changes in the second half.

Jesus, what a horribly officiated game on both ends. More than 50 fouls??? Fuck.

Well champs, you called it. I think it was an anomaly based on the game, but Stanford definitely scored 70!

Over 60 combined fts... The first half was unbearable. Let the players play the game. Basketball is a contact sport. Not every little bump is a foul. Plus their big man was flopping all over the place.

Dusan is way more skilled offensively than Zeus.

Which is why I see Rabb having a hard time picking us. Zeus has a good chance of staying his senior year and we gave Ristic next season. Which makes Rabb backing up Zues at best?

Ristic is going to be an absolute joy to watch in the years to come. If he puts some weight on and improves his defense with that finesse around the rim, watch out.

Great point. And even backing up Zeus, he would have to compete against Ristic as a sophomore. I think Rabb might still be better, but Ristic might be too good to sit next year.

Seriously. Who expected Zeus to be a 4 year guy? Not a knock on him but I really wasn't expecting it.

Speaking of next season I can't wait for Allonzo Trier. He will light it up.

I'm not even sure that Bash leaves to be honest. I really thought that Zeus might very well stay all four, although I obviously wouldn't have been surprised if as a freshman you told me he would leave after year two or three. Bash got hurt though, so that makes sense for him. He's only 11.5 and 5, while Zeus is 8.6 and 5.6. Both might very well be back. I think Zeus will be for sure now. His stock has definitely dropped.

Next year could look something like:

PG PJC and Simon
SG York, Kadeem and Smith
SF Trier and Pitts
PF Ashley, Anderson and Comanche
C Zeus and Ristic

Even if Ashley still leaves, that's a very solid squad.

Personally, I think both Zeus and Ashley leave after this season. They've both been really patient and have stayed 1-2 years longer than anyone thought they would, but I think now is when the whole NBA desperation kicks in.

Ashley is a lock for the early to mid 2nd round, while Zeus is more of a question mark. I'm sure he'd get drafted, but it might be in the 50-60 range for a team looking to add a project player with NBA size. All it really takes though is for them to play well in the tourney. That's where your stock either rises or plummets for boarder-line guys like them.

Anderson, Ristic & Comanche is likely our trio down low next year with POSSIBLY Rabb. I really hope Rabb picks us over Cal though.
