Me and my bro are going to watch The Big Lebowski this week. It's unreal that we haven't already as we love Bridges and Goodman both.

great fucking flick.

That's exactly what a coworker said to me. Although, truthfully, I'm still not 100% sold on the 3D thing. If I see it without, do you think I'll notice that it was designed primarily as a 3D offering?

depends on the movie, and on the theater

in films made for immersive 3d (Avatar, Hobbit, etc) depth is actual used to compose the entire field of the scene. Now those are big budget films with quality crews, and it still translates well to 2d because of care, $, etc. Some smaller budget 'immersive 3d' films are not as seamless and you can definitely tell that you're watching 2d where 3d was really intended particularly when they rely on "shoot/throw/etc at you{the audience}" effects now as for "on the theater" 3d films are inherently dimmer thanks to use of polarized light eyewear, so there are 2 options-- shoot the film brighter, or use brighter projection. The first option is typically cheaper, so the 3d film if shown in 2d theater without proper conversion will be too bright when cranked out of the projector. Finally, there is post-processed 3d- a trick of trying to make films originally shot in 2d have 3d effects. Avoid that at all costs. You simply can't make missing information appear, no matter how you try.

Tenenbaums is my favorite WA film, followed by Bottle Rocket. I recognize he makes quality work but I just don't care for a lot of it. Fantastic Fox is the only one I haven't seen. Couldn't stand Life Acquatic.

As far as newer movies, the last yr or so I have been watching movies on this free website. Then I just use my VGA cord and I can watch em on my T.V.

I have seen most of 2012 movies but movies I want to see:

The Hobbit

I don't watch em right when first come out. I wait until they get a better copy or HD. It usually takes a couple wks or a month for the newer movies.
