Sadly, this one is about over. Hopefully Harry learns from this. Need tomorrow to get a split.

Sigh.

Was kind of hoping he’d regress myself.

What are you gonna do when you run into the hottest team in the Bigs…

The “hottest team in the Bigs” = Whomever is playing the Giants..

Yup. He's gotta learn.

Here, hit this fastball. ZING (Soto, 95.9 mph Four-Seam Fastball)

OK, well, here, hit this slurve. ZING (Bogaerts, 81.5 mph Slurve)

OK, well, here, hit this changeup. ZING (Giants castoff Gary Sanchez, 87.6 mph Changeup)

What the hell is Harrison doing out there after 80 pitches? Wasn't he on a pitch count? I mean 5 innings and 3 runs isn't bad. His velocity was way down in the 6th, and there was no need for that. Hey Kap, this kid is the future. Don't abuse him.

Well, crap, hit THIS fastball. ZING (Cooper, 91.8 mph Four-Seam Fastball)

I punched out at 3-0, but I'm kinda glad Harry got some experience trying to go six. It was a lost cause anyway so why not use it as a teaching moment.

Hope Cobb can get us the split today but he's gonna be gassed from the one hitter.

Also, we can't hit, so there's that.

I fear Cobb is done for his career after that start. There is plenty of evidence that a start like that, for an older pitcher, is what “breaks” them.

We can’t forget that Cobb is 38. He is no spring chicken. He only has so many (none?) bullets left.

I don't understand treating him with kid gloves in AAA and then throwing him to the wolves in the big leagues. Suddenly giving him leverage to go longer should have happened a couple months ago (before his injury) in AAA, not now.

So there could be red flags this month that the Giants will probably punch past and exercise his option based on the 1 hitter?
