Stunner win for Lawrence. Good performance by her, but Chastain was better. We never really saw Lawrence's love for Cooper developing in the same way that we saw Cooper's love for Lawrence.
It's a crying shame that Daniel-Day Lewis won. I'm sorry, but Lincoln spent half of the movie acting like a total dimwit who everyone ignored. He gives one decent monologue in a movie where he is completely overpowered and they give it to him anyways. His accent was a simple Midwestern accent. His facial expression was aloof the entire movie. It just wasn't an exceptional acting performance, and apparently people care about name more than performance.
Argo was good. Not an exceptional film like some recent winners (The Kings Speech and The Departed), but a solid movie like The Artist and The Hurt Locker. Definitely not a crapper like Crash or Slumdog Millionaire.
