lol no i actually watched the game. That isn't true
It actually was did you even read the rest of my post? If LA makes a couple more than they did and Denver misses a couple more than they did Denver doesn’t win this game. Everything else doesn’t matter when the teams were practically identical in all shooting categories.

It can never be understated how important this trade was. Took a couple years for everyone to get fully healthy but now it’s paying off big time.

You know, I take back what I said earlier when you said Darvin's getting fired Saturday. If the Lakers check out and get beat bad enough, maybe that will actually wake Jeanie up to make the move

Maybe. I've been bitching about the Lakers free throw shooting for years.

Both teams were 44/90 from the field, Nugs were 5/28 from 3 and the Lakers were 5/27. The Nugs were 19-22 on free throws and the Lakers were 12-17.

The real difference, imo, is that they started the game being very aggressive attacking the rim and moving the ball to the point that they got Joker in early foul trouble. Then they stopped being as aggressive and stopped moving the ball. Everything else staying the same, maybe if they stay aggressive, they draw a few more fouls.

The biggest difference, imo, is the role players. Whether it's MPJ or last night...Gordon, they seem to always have one guy who steps up. Meanwhile the Lakers, like last night, have D-Lo go scoreless and Rui scores 5.

Coaching and role players. The 3rd quarter is where it falls apart. The big 2 can hang with Denver and the role players just aren't good enough. Ever since they won the championship this has been the issue and I do think they are outcoached. Nobody expected LA to win this series but the fact they play so well for a half and then it goes to shit has to be frustrating. Their #3, 4 and 5 guys are just so much better than LA's.

It’s not like those role guys are “great”. They have continuity and fit though.

0fer DLo was certainly a factor, as was the Lakers losing Gordon continuously on the drive and dish.

Wherefore art thou, Vando?

Yeah, not sure how much difference it would have made, but would have been nice to see if he could have done something to slow MPJ in game 2 or Gordon last night.

As a pair, Gordon and Porter are as good of 3rd and 4th options as there are in the league. They don’t have to run a single play for Gordon.

At best, i'm going to hope the Lakers can take at least one game.

But another sweep seems more likely. This team isn't built to take on the Nuggets.

The big 2 can hang with Denver's because Murray is not nearly as good as AD or LeBron.

Agree. Vando is an excellent defender though. If he was available they could have put him on those 2 and maybe he slows them a little. Don't think it would change who wins the series, but it may have helped them get a game or 2.
