Death by inches
Dino Babers could be a monumental hire for the Colorado Buffaloes.
AD Rick George is looking for a "big time" personality; a guy who can win, and Babers has proven to be both. Babers' offense is one of the best in the country, he's loved by his players, and he's put Syracuse back on the map.
So why would Babers leave Syracuse for Colorado?
Babers is recruiting in Upstate NY for one. Colorado offers the much better region to pull top HS talent, not to mention, the state-of-the-art athletic complex in Boulder trumps anything Syracuse has on campus. Babers has Hawaiin roots and should be open-minded to a move closer to the West Coast. Additionally, Babers would inherit Steven Montez and Leviska Shenault ... affording him the opportunity to win right away with the Buffaloes.
