They're not going to trade both of them. I rather doubt that they'll trade either of them. If they do move one, it'll likely be Deebo. If any trade happens, it'll happen very early in rd 2. By the middle of round 2, the window of getting any real 20224 value for them will have closed.

Ridiculous first round pick by the 49ers. they don't have a place to play this guy and they had so many other areas of greater need.

Surprisingly I just saw something where CJ Stroud thinks the world of him and wanted him for the Texans. he was very upset when the Niners got him. Still I'm afraid to get my hopes up for a guy I never heard even mentioned once in the lead up to the draft by any team.

And it takes them a while to admit it like with Lance. We could see he was awful from the start but Shanahna kept trying to force feed him the offense.

Completely disagree. There are two GLARING needs on this team given contract situations within the next year+, WR and CB. If they aren't getting rid of either Aiyuk or Deebo, they just made their WR corps stronger with a guy that can get open playing man, the one thing Deebo couldn't do in the Super Bowl. JJ is gone next season, probably to a contract paying him upwards of 10 mil. This gives offensive firepower now and in the future bc the plus to Pearsall was that he was the best route runner in this class.

O Line and Corner in my opinion and, to a lesser extent, linebacker now that we only have one who is starter quality who will open the season on the field.

To justify this pick, Pearsall will need to be a real contributor. No depth. Not the PR. A real WR. Considering how little we pass the ball, this is almost a redshirt year for the 4th WR.

Kyle hit it right with Aiyuk and Deebo. He missed with Pettis, Gray, and Hurd. We have to hope that this pick falls into the first group rather than the second. It's clear that Kyle has a type he's looking for, but it's worse than 50/50 for him being able to pick them out. Fingers crossed.


This year? C, RG, CB all have immediate needs. RT is what I'd call serviceable.

If there actually are 6 centers still in the draft that would put Brendel on the bench, then the FO is negligent if we don't end up with someone other than Brendel at center. We'll see...barring injury, I rather doubt it.

I take Powers-Johnson or Kool-Aid. Either one becomes an immediate contributor. Powers-Johnson starts at either center or RG. Kool-Aid could be our outside CB, allowing Demo to stay in the NCB role, eliminating the need to play Ambry Thomas at all.

Again, depth of draft at the position would have had me taking WR. However, JPJ and Kool-Aid would have been my back up picks for the reasons you stated. They HAVE to get a CB within the next couple picks. Both Mooney Ward and DMO are FA at the end of the season.

O Line and Corner in my opinion and, to a lesser extent, linebacker now that we only have one who is starter quality who will open the season on the field.

The Niners paid Campbell to man Greenlaw's spot in his absence and they got some young ones that haven't been given much time...plus they are in nickel most of the time anyways so I don't see LB being as big a need.

Super steady. Plus athlete. Calm, cool, collected. Man-to-man skills are awesome. Mixes in some physicality. Instincts are there too. High-floor player who may not have the twitch to play inside. But can mirror well on the boundary. Speed can get stretched beyond the limit. (Chris Trapasso)
Funny thing from the more in depth report on CBS Sports draft table.... He can't be handsy because of short arm/wingspan and all I could see in my mind was a very athletic guy with Tyrannosaurus Rex Arms. LOL

Such a Kyle Shanahan pick. Has the athletic chops to potentially play all five positions at some point in his NFL career. Regularly squares up his assignment and gets into the frame of DLs quickly because of his plus burst off the ball. Played OT in college but probably best at OG as a pro. Has to add some strength to his game. Not a lunger. Good pass pro. (Chris Trapasso)

KC likely showed why this might be the thing to do now? If you trade up for a player, then no doubt they believe strongly in him, go Puni!


Still no OT nor C so KS is ok with the returning O-line. This seems like we're wasting a good opportunity to bring in a good OT prospect?

In this offense i guess Pearsall will be fine, not saying he'll be a bust at all. But he just doesn't seem to be that "No. 1" receiver type? If you're going to be a 1st round pick that's what fans expect. Granted he's a late 1st rounder so he should get a little leeway, but still?

Weren't there other talented players still on the board? Orhororo, Newton, Kool Aid, JPJ, Lassiter? Who has a better chance of being a Pro Bowl level player the following (NEXT) season? One of these guys or Pearsall?

The below is just one person's list but using this as a guide, looks like the top targets for our 4th rounders are Mohammed Kamara and Christian Jones. Maybe one of these TE's are instead and if so, go there. Ok ok, realistically these guys will be gone by the time we pick 20 (21?) players in.

I think this 4th round is still big where we can reasonably think our picks might one day be starters. Round 5 and later could be lucky but you don't typically count on starters from those rounds.

With the way Shany has drafted, I'm more confident the 3-5 round picks will be stars than our first two. I'm not a huge cfb guy so I have no idea who most of these players are outside of Oregon and Iowa guys but I trust our front office to make the right choices.

Height: 5-11, Weight: 207
Smaller, squattier, major athlete at the safety spot. Wore a lot of hats and wore most of them well in college. Quicker than fast but plays with great balance in his backpedal which allows him to erupt out of it in a flash. Very willing and aggressive in run support. Tackling must improve and not super rangy. Isaac Guerendo RB, LVILLE​

Height: 6-1, Weight: 225
Big RB with elite speed. Will run away from many NFL DBs when he's in the open field. Just not a lateral-quicks type. Ideal in Kyle Shanahan's offense but will have to receive quality blocking to succeed. (Chris Trapasso)

Jacob Cowing WR, ARIZ​

Height: 5-11, Weight: 175
Tiny, pesky wideout who plays bigger than his size after the catch and possesses the short-area quicks and moments of speed to separate at all three levels. Tiny catch radius. Occasionally will deploy a crazy cut without losing much speed. Physicality can overwhelm him. Fun new type in this SF offense. Height: 6-4, Weight: 305
Chippy, high-energy blocker without big-time length or size but carries out his duties with plenty of consistency. Can play any position up front. Good getting across the line of scrimmage on zone plays. Stays square to the line of scrimmage. Not a people-mover power wise. (Chris Trapasso)

Tatum Bethune LB, FSU​

Height: 6-1, Weight: 230
No-hesitation second-level LB with plus quickness. Will be small by even today's new size standards at the position. Some speed and ball skills flashed on film. (Chris Trapasso)

When the 49ers first went on the clock at No. 31 overall, there already had been nine offensive linemen chosen in the draft. Clearly, the 49ers did not believe any starting-caliber tackles still were on the board. The rest of the league apparently agreed, as the next tackle was drafted 25 spots later when Miami selected Houston tackle Patrick Paul at No. 55 overall.

“We looked at numerous guys throughout the process,” 49ers general manager John Lynch said of offensive tackles. “I think when you're drafting 31st, it's oftentimes hard to find a tackle that you really love.

“And we like our tackles as they stand right now. We like our depth with Jaylon Moore being a really talented guy who can play the swing role.”

The 49ers’ starting tackles are 11-time Pro Bowler Trent Williams, protecting Brock Purdy’s back, and Colton McKivitz on the right side. Williams will be 36 when the season opens, while McKivitz will be 28 to begin his second season as the full-time starter.



Interesting, they even like Jaylon Moore?! But another issue is how long will TW play at a good level? Next draft will probably poor at OT so then what?
