The Tigers are a lock for the playoffs. But, I'd still rather win the division than sweat a 1-game win or go home.

I'm as big a Tiger fan as there is, and I don't think they are a "lock" for anything. Could finish anywhere from first to fourth. (Wherever they finish, Detroit will be ahead of Cleveland because they simply own the Indians head-to-head.)

It's nice to see the Tiger bats finally coming together. But the starting rotation is, frankly, very up-and-down. Price is pitching for a contract, and will be fine. But neither Verlander, Sanchez, nor Simon give me the warm fuzzies that they'll be consistently good this year.

Mike Leake was given a 9-1 lead yesterday but didn't get the win because he only went 4 innings after allowing 6 runs in the 4th.

His excuse was he "got bored".

How the hell do you get bored as a starter when your offense is piling on runs to give you a free win?

If it was me I'd literally have to call a doctor due to having an erection lasting more than 4 hours. Last thing that would make me "bored" as a baseball player.

bats have been around all season, its the pitching staff as whole...how does DD go with Coke for so many years and now stick with AA, Joba and Gorz? Does he think you can just throw anything in MR?

DD not winning a ring with at the time the best hitter and best pitcher in baseball with a high payroll is one thing. Putting a .500 team together around the best hitter in baseball just sucks. Give another GM that payroll and miggy and see what he can do before Miggy falls apart.
