slippery the first day, and kohlschreiber has that crazy fucked up service motion, so anything is possible

I wouldn't doubt it; Kolhschreiber has had some great results in the last month; clay and grass! This is probably the "upset" special IMO! Ya never know; esp. since Nole's only warm-up was that "Boodie" exhibition! :agree: :suds: :noidea:

murray and nadal have it rough.

nole's draw is golden. anderson isn't going to serve nole off of any court. cilic is a shell of what he was last september in new york, and grass is nishikori's and wawrinka's worst surface. i see raonic maybe making a wimbledon final someday, but it certainly won't be this year.

fed can go out early at any tournament now, but his draw is even better than nole's, with only lopez and berdych who should really be able to do much of anything to him on grass.

this tournament is all about the young guns for me. i'm really looking forward to seeing what kokkanakis and kyrgios can do with those massive serves they have, and hoping to see sock make it to the 3R and put a good showing against fed. sock will have a hard time with that low bounce, i'm thinking, especially off the backhand.

Bencic has been playing well lately and could be a threat at Wimby.

True, Old Lion. However, Wimbledon with all the other players like Serena, Maria, Vika etal will be playing, it is going to be much tougher even though she won Wimbledon as the girl's champion.

Men's Draw:

Djokovic's Quarter:

Yeah, Djokovic has a tricky 1st round with Kohlschreiber.

Janowicz - Kevin Anderson 3rd round: Janowicz in 3, no real reason.

I see Tipsarevic is in this draw, but don't want to predict someone just returning from injury.

Djokovic will probably beat Janowicz in 3 in the 4th round.

Wishful thinking, but I'll say a Djokovic - Isner QF, with Isner winning in 4. Just for fun. Isner hasn't really proven himself of getting to the 2nd week consistently, but maybe this is the year.

Wawrinka's Quarter:

I can't see who could beat Wawrinka before the SF, on paper.

Haas - Raonic 2nd round: Rooting for Haas, but Raonic will probably win in 4.

Krygios - Raonic 3rd round: Going with Krygios, bigger ground strokes. Krygios in 3.

Sure, Krygios will challenge Wawrinka in the QF. I'll say Wawrinka in 5.

Murray's Quarter:

Murray - Tsonga 4th round: Is this the year Tsonga beats Murray again at a major? I hope yes.

But I'll say Murray wins in 4.

Murray - Nadal QF: I want Murray to win a major by beating Nadal. All signs point to Murray winning this. Let's say in 4. Maybe a 7-5 or tiebreak 4th set.

FED's Quarter:

Monfils - Simon 3rd round sounds fun. I'll say Simon in 4.

Simon - Berdych 4th round: Berdych will probably win, in 3. But I could see Simon in 5.

Berdych - FED QF: Could go either way. FED in 4.

Isner - Wawrinka SF: Wawrinka in 5?

I just realized I deprived us of Djokovic - Wawrinka. If that's the matchup, I'll say Wawrinka in 5, because I want him to beat Djokovic again.

Murray - FED SF: Most likely Murray in 3. FED could win, but just don't know with him anymore.

Wawrinka - Murray Finals: Yum. How about Wawrinka in 4!!!

Women's Draw:

Serena's Quarter:

Schiavone - Venus 3rd round: I think Schiavone wins this in 3. If Venus wins, it's in 2.

Pironkova or Bencic will probably beat Ivanovic in the 4th round.

If Serena were to play Venus in the 4th round, I'd like to see Venus get another win over Serena.

Serena - Pironkova QF: Dangerous, but have to go with Serena.

Sharapova's Quarter:

Sharapova - Safarova QF: Going with Safarova, just because I think she's on the upswing.

Wozniacki's Quarter:

I don't know if Wozniacki can really get through this quarter. It doesn't look tough, but she's not reliable like an all-time great.

I'll pick her to do so, though.

Kvitova's Quarter:

Have to go with her to win this quarter.

Serena - Safarova SF: Serena in 2.

Wozniacki - Kvitova SF: Rooting for Wozniacki, but little reason to think she can win. Maybe her slices will mess with Kvitova enough.

Kvitova in 3.

Serena - Kvitova Finals
: This is about as good as you can get on grass. I'll go with Kvitova in 2, but either player can win. Just think Kvitova will be a tough out.

I know. And just as unlikely he beats Djokovic. But hey, I did that one for fun.

I just want to see Isner have another good run into the 2nd week of a major.

Djokovic - Kohlschreiber and Pironkova - Bencic look interesting tomorrow.

I've only seen Madison Brengle a little, but she plays Venus tomorrow.

Wondering how much longer ESPN and other outlets are going to try to create intrigue about Nole's draw when there is none. lol.

Nishikori's in his half, and just lost a set to Bolelli, btw. Raonic, also in his half, lost a set to Gimeno-Traver.

Serena off to a very slow start today, but that's normal nowadays. Gone are the days when the top 3-4 on the WTA would go out and obliterate opponents in 40-minute matches in the first week. Serena and Venus were crazy with that when they were youngsters.

Watching Hewitt try to beat Niemenen. Hope to see the Aussie scum lose, but even if he doesn't today, it'll happen soon enough.

Anybody with Directv, remember, you can watch 5 different matches on channels 703-707.

I'm very disappointed in Kokkinakis. At just 19, he's the youngest player in the top 100, and he's going to contend for big titles for a lot of years.

Still, this was his first Wimbledon match ever, so it's a big learning experience for the kid.

.
and then about 20 min after i say this, venus goes out and wins 6-0, 6-0 in 42 minutes.

Not much in the way of upsets. Ben Becker losing was a mild one. Janowicz is about to lose to some guy I never heard of.

lol. i had to google the guy.

marsel ilhan is a 28 year old uzbeki, and has never made it past the 2nd round of any major. highest rank? 77.

janowicz hasn't been the same since the injury. i'm betting it's still an issue.
