Got a guy in my work league that is moving to North Carolina for work, and we do a live draft. Obviously in NC, he wouldn't be able to do our live draft that's in STL. he said he wants to give someone his top 200 and let them draft for him.

A couple underlying issues:
He is hands down, the biggest complainer in the league, and its not even close. Actually, no one complains about anything, except this guy. The waiver process, sports bar we draft at, pretty much anything he can complain about.
The commish doesn't really like the guy to begin with, this is just yet another thing. The guy is pretty insufferable, just take my word for it.

Personally, i don't care. I told commish that I'd draft for him off of his top 200 if the guy that moved pays my entry fee this year, lol. I'll probably just not choose sides when it really comes down to it.

Any thoughts here?

We had a similar issue. .guy we really didn't want in the league, but he saved our bacon at the last hour when we needed a replacement owner, rubbed everyone wrong from day one...
our solution was to make attendance at the live draft mandatory. .no phones, no computers, must draft live. We knew he couldn't make it.

If the experience of a live draft is that important to the rest of the league, your simply say, sorry, good luck in NC, and find a replacement

always have someone asking us if there are spots open, but we don't want to expand past 12 owners.
filling the spot won't be an issue

So Monkey was it. Da. :kk:

I think it is going to go to a vote for the remaining 11 owners.
It's a hard line to tip toe around - dude's mother in law is a big wig at the company, so no one wants to straight up tell him to stop being a d-bag.

Send him a recording of "Take this job and shove it.":heh:

Anytime you are doing a live draft and someone has to stay on the phone, it takes away from the experience. I would say attendance is mandatory, to prove you will be active in the league.

Now I know we have to have some grey beards around here that remember this classic movie, right?
It came out before I was born and I know it!

If it's his mother-in-law, maybe she is well aware of his d-bag reputation and would just love to be the one to tell him he's out of the league.
