Well, in fairness, game 7s against the Caps should barely count on Henrik's resume. It's pretty much a given that they'll blow it.

True, it should be footnoted that it was a Caps breakdown like they always do.... Wonder how the Queen is feeling after giving up back to back 6 goal games.... Lets hope the Bolts can keep it up.... see if the Rags luck comes back into play... thought it would last night when they forced OT... but that was a weak goal in OT by the queen....

In 3 regular season games against the Lightning Henrik gave up 5 goals, 5 goals and 4 goals. Which means 5 of the 6 games against the Lightning this year he's given up 4 or more goals. Not sure what you figured out Tampa but keep it up.

Ok, so that was not your typical goal Henrik would give up, but that team and its fans are too spoiled to realize without Henrik, they would be golfing with the Devils by now. He is the reason they made it this far.

Plus, that OT shot was tricky. It fooled Henrik. Kucherov cut across the middle 1 against 2 Ranger defenseman (a third ranger less than 10 feet away too) and used a quick screen to put a perfect shot right off the post past Henrik.
I would blame why the defensemaen were both backing up since it was a 1 on 3 into the zone. Does Henrik usually stop those shots, yea, but that shot probably beats half the goalies in the league.

I think the Rangers are fast, but so is TB. They are faster and deeper than the Caps. Its easy to look at 6 goals and say Henrik isn't doing his job, but look at the entire team. Johnson alone in front. Even that OT goal, henrik stopped a break away minute before the game winner. Or the 2nd game where TB had a shorthanded 2 on 0.

wow what a game by the queen!

if this was the caps they would've beat the rangers 5-2 but i dont trust bishop or their horrible defense bishop outside of his size is shaky imo.

i really just hope that larrson develops into half the player hedman is. wow the guy is a beast and is HUUUUUUUUUUUGE larrson needs to put some weight on this summer!

Agreed.... its time to shed all the dead weight and officially enter the rebuilding years... Many will say we have been in that faze, but someone needs to tell Lou that.... stop signing all these past their prime deadweights and start developing young talent so they can be something in a year or two...

this right here is my biggest problem with elias

"I still do. I really do," Elias said. "I believe that when I play with the right players in the right situations, I can still produce. I feel good. Sometimes at this age it takes a little bit longer to (recover from injuries). But I enjoy the game and I know that I can still be creative and I still have fun and enjoy it. … I don't have to prove myself for people to know that I can play in any situation: PK, power play. I know that. I know that I can."

sorry elias but we need players that dont need a supporting cast we need players that can produce on their own.

also elias you do need to prove yourself. even if you come off a 50 goal season you need to continue to improve and prove you are worthy of a contract.

this is the major problem i have with the devils the past few years to the julien era. this team has become a country club for the vets that are "devils type" players. zero accountability from them and they get their friends brought in on contracts also.

all this is strange because lou in the past (90s) was big time anti all of these types of things. now that he is gone i hope we get rid of all the dead wood. elias/zubrus/ruutu heck even greene i would move he would get the biggest return.

zajac does have some value like you said to a contender 2nd line center with some talent around him he can put up 60pts. problem is he is comparable to brad richards at this point maybe even less skill wise....richards is a 1 year contract though

also i know not many would agree with me on this buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut

i would also look to ship out camalari if there is a team willing to take him.

yes he put up 27 goals and probably would hit 30 if he wasn't hurt. but the guy only put up 42 points! 42 points! thats just insane.....get a first rounder for him because honestly if you want his goal production well it isn't going to really do us any good in the near future when this team is bad. get more and as many assets as you can right now.

I would move him as well. We won't be contenders next year and maybe not the following year and at that point who knows where he's at health/skill wise. And Shero didn't sign him to that deal so he won't feel like a dick if he moves him.

Calamari is the type of player that can bring in a legit package at the deadline.

The Ranjizz did no better than the Devils the past 2 seasons. Neither team won the Cup. That's the ONLY thing you play for. All the Ranjizz did was strip their fans of their money. That simple!

They should have been done last series in game 5.
Their amazing luck finally ran out. Good riddance.

Thanks TB!
