I predicted 11-5 so we're tracking. Well after I got some caffeine in me.

NEpatsfan if the Pats address a 3rd down back and tighten up the D thru the draft and FA I coukd agree. They way they sit now I'm not as optomistic as you.

Look at the qb lineup, as we know it this moment, and you'll see where the optomism comes from.

NFCW & AFCW...NE, IND...no question...tough schedule.

Outlook on the team.

New DC Butler taking over a DEF still in transition...back 4 in a nutshell will not be sorted out until camp, which is good imo...the balance of power on the DEF is no longer LB...the DL talent is surfacing to be the strength of the unit with Tuitt and McCullers showing good early form.

I expect a little more of Tomlin's 4-3 front influence to take some pressure off the OLBs....more blitzing from Shazier. In short...back 4 is the big question...I know they will be faster with Troy and Ike gone, but until I see them on the field idk if they will be better, worse, or the same. Overall I expect a QB pressure by committee type team with 5 or 6 guys with 5+ sacks.

OFC...I'd love to have the big anchor LT, but I would take the health the OL had LY...the starting 5 had a very high % of the snaps. Aside from that...Ben has arguably the best arsenal he's ever had in PIT...Miller is not the same guy, but still a very reliable 2 way TE...Bell, Wheaton & Martavious Bryant have more than picked up the slack.

DeAngelo Williams was a big pick up in FA...with the pending 3 gm suspension by Bell...Williams can take the lionshare of the carries.

I think 11-5.

@ NE, SEA, KC, BAL will be tough...I'd take 2-2 right now, must get 1 of these to make the playoffs imo.
Good writeup ATL.

Defense is definitely the question mark. I expect they will be better than last year. They have a couple of guys that have big shoes to fill. But I think Butler is going to be the savior. No more learning curves is what I'm hoping for. Get the talent on the field quicker and let feast or famine take its course.

Offense... Same deal as last year. Ben is going to make it rain! D-Will & Harris will do great in Bell's absence.

Brutal schedule, but this team seems to like playing the tougher opponents. Its those damn sub-.500 teams that always surprise us (watch out for Oakland lol). Getting the bye week before we head into SEA is helpful. That will be a good game!

10-11 wins is what I'll predict. Let's go with 11-5 to be precise. AFC is going to be brutal this year, but I have faith!

Go Steelers!

Kinda depends on the draft but I could see the Vikings finishing anywhere from 7 - 9 to 10 - 6

Will the pats beat eli finally?

they have beaten him btw 1-2 vs him Dont know if you saw the reg 07 season when Pats went 16-0 and Giants with Eli was one of them. The 2 SB losses were last min wins by Giants. All 4 Pats wins were by 20 points, see the difference?

I see the Pats being 0-2 vs Eli WHEN IT COUNTS.

Brag about your regular season wins while Eli can brag about Brady being 0-2 in the superbowl

Got them at 11-5 but I can see them losing a home game to Dallas or Carolina so yeah 10 or 11 win for New Orleans

See I was somewhat with you until you posted this. Going undefeated at home is almost down right impossible. Only 2 teams in the entire league were able to do it with that being Green Bay and Denver (two of the top teams in the league). New Orleans is just not at that point. Throw in all the new moving pieces for this team and you have to expect they are going to struggle especially early on with inconsistency. I could honestly see New Orleans start out the season 1-4 before they start seeing the team click a little more. At this point I see them losing all of the road games to start the season and 1 of the home games. So that would put them at 2-5 at the midpoint in the season. So then you are talking about going 7-1 over the 2nd half of the season with 4 of those being on the road.

Now obviously we don't see eye to eye on this but to me I just see New Orleans being closer to an 8-8 team again. The NFC South can't be as bad as it was this past year so you have to expect the competition in the division will be tougher. The AFC South makes it a bit easier but the NFC East I think will be a pretty tough division this year. Hard to tell at this time so maybe it is an easy schedule but I definitely could see it going the other way easy of some of these games looking a lot tougher a few weeks into the season when we begin to see which teams have progressed or regressed.
