Lightning vs redwings

Hey guys i'm back!!! Just been on vacation for 2 and half weeks in Florida, wish I could live there instead i'm stuck here in England which is rather depressing. Went to watch Florida away and Jersey and Boston at home and went to game 1, a disappointing result but the atmosphere was electric. Last time we went to a playoff game it was 04 and we all know what happened that year so hopefully the same happens this year. Managed to watch game 2 in a restaurant in New York JFK on the way home back to the UK. Now that i'm back home I've been staying up and watching the bolts live which hasn't helped my jetlag so I've spent most of the time sleeping and the reason I haven't been on here for a bit so glad to back guys keep up the good work and most importantly LETS GO LIGHTNING!!!!

Hi Danny nice to see you back...UK huh. Good series so far 2-2 and game five coming up in five hours or so. Don't know if anything is wrong with Stamkos or not but he is playing subpar. Thank goodness we got Johnson he's quite a player.

I'm wondering if this is the same Stamkos that scored 5 overtime goals and 60 goals in one season. Now we have to win two in a row......doughtful.

Wings have dominated this series from game 3 onwards, they are just neutralizing our speed and defensively just shutting us down. Looking at the two teams, they play the same style of game, the forward talent is equal in my opinion, I think we have the better goalie in Bish, I also think we have the far better D core personnel wise but give credit were credit is due, the Wings D has shut us down completely us down, they are structured and well organised and although Mrazek has played well I think the Wings defense is making life very easy for him (outside of game 1).

When I was over there I was listening to the local radio station WDAE, they had Phil Esposito on the line and anything short of an Eastern Conference Final appearance would be deemed unacceptable and I agree. If Lightning don't get of the 1st round like last year, I think Coop should be gone and I do believe Yzerman would fire him as well.

Every other game has been won, can the Lightning win game six ? Then its up for grabs in the seventh like Todd said, maybe we can come through. If we can I would rather play Montreal than Ottawa.

Cheers Danny, It is truly good to see you back online! I hope that you enjoyed your visit to the states! It sounded quite exciting. I visited the U.K. some time ago and felt the same way that you expressed. I did not want to leave your area of the world. I loved England and really did not want to come back home. Thank you for coming over to the states and having a blast, I bet you enriched the lives of those that you met here!

Game 6 Monday night! Like Bolt said, every other game the Lightning has won. Can they do it again and force a game 7?

The only thing I agree to disagree with Danny is the net-minders. That first game when Mrazek stopped 45 out 47 shots (if I remember correct) and Bishop opened the door on 3 out of 14 (again if I remember the numbers correct). Bishop is hideous at times. Mrazek is way more consistent! Consistency is something the Lightning lack as a whole and the have lacked it all season! Chomp chomp chomp giggle giggle

Cheers ISR, I really enjoyed Florida man, already looking at two trips next year one the spring with our family friends were our plan would be to hammer the theme parks and one in the fall were our plan is to hammer the sports. Out of curiosity were about's did you stay in England??

The only reason I gave Bish the upper hand is because of his track record at the NHL level, he's more accomplished at this level. He carried this team to the playoffs last year and without him he knows where we would of been. He hasn't played as good this year but he's been solid. Bish has played inconsistent this series and Mrazek looks locked in but in my opinion Bish is the better goalie but Mrazek has outplayed him in this series so far.

Cheers Danny, the theme park idea is brilliant! Florida has a lot to offer! Tampa's Busch Gardens to Orlando's Mikey Mouse and Sea World. A lot of water slide parks to choose from also! The sports idea is brilliant as well my friend! Florida really does offer some of the nicest weather for sports to thrive!

I came over from France and spent some time seeing the area around the white cliffs of Dover, I made sure I saw Canterbury and spent a lot of time in and around London. Even got to see the Queen! She is a marvelous and beautiful lady with much charm. Kudos to England and it's people, what a time! From there, I traveled and toured Scotland, Whales and Ireland. And I will return again and again!

Montreal moves onto the second round. Watching this game tonight, the Sen are quick like the Lightning but lack the physicality needed to knock Montreal off their game. The Wings should be able to kill Montreal in just 4 games.

It sounds like you had a blast over here in the U.K. I live in the north in a town called St. Helens, it's in between Liverpool and Manchester. It's ok I guess but much rather live in the states, specially Florida

Thunderbolts and Lightning very very frightening. I may be an optimist but I see The Lightning winning two in a row. Three years ago facing elimination they beat Pittsburgh three straight. why not two straight over Detroit.

There is bolt but it bores me though, hasn't got a patch on the NHL. I'd love to play but I can't skate, I would love to play in goal.
