I've used it all to clean the inside of my windshield, used paper towels, newspaper, cloths, etc) and every damn time it leaves terrible streaks!

What's the best solution to actually getting the windshield CLEAN AND STREAK FREE!!!

This has always been a problem for me. You have to be a contortionist just to get all of it.
When I smoked, it was especially hard with the extra build up.
The best thing I have used is just Windex with Ammonia. Even with that, it took several times doing it over and over to get it streak free. Once or twice never did it. Don't ask me why :noidea:. If I had done it more frequently it would have made it easier, but who wants to do that.

Spit on your used Taco Bell napkin and go to town...just don't get confused and rub your 7 layer burrito on the windshield.

Seriously, I just use a clean bath towel with no chemicals. I don't smoke in the car, so the buildup I get isn't hard to remove.

Ammonia and hot water.

With 2nd cloth remove excess fluids till "dry".

With 3rd cloth, preferably a light lint bath towel, buff to make shine. View from angle and buff some more.

Hardest parts are around that pesky rearview mirror and up close to the window near the dash.

And the back window with it's sharp angle over the tray.....

Not a smoker so I don't have to worry about that. Just excess whatever on the windshield

I put RainX on the inside one time to keep it clean. Not recommended...it looked like shit.

May sound dumb, but Windex. Although be sure not to use anything with ammonia on tinted windows

Discovered these a year ago. Microfiber towels. Use them to clean all windows and glass now. Car detailers use microfiber towels a lot.

From smart phones and tablets, to car windows. They are amazing at cleaning them with 0 scratches and makes them look new. Dry for most times. Little bit of water to get gunk off. Just don't ever use cleaning liquids / soap with them.

Here's a link.

Even worse is that anti-fog crap

But I love RainX on the outside window. Makes water seem like mercury when you're moving.

Used that years ago and I agree. Put it on one afternoon, got in my car later that night and there was so much condensation on the inside of the windshield that it looked like it was raining inside my car.

Yeah heard it worked wonders on the outside, but I need the inside... I can barely see out my window now because of all those damn streaks!

I use Windex or Window wipes and I never have streaks. Also I do smoke in my car, but I also clean the interior every saturday morning including the windshield.
