It's early yet, good sir.

And the greens are no doubt less than perfectly manicured...so keep a good thought. :yo:

It's a good time to be in Seattle. Weather starting to get dry and you can get in 9 before work and still be in the office at like 8:30. Around the summer solstice you can get in 18 no problem.

Shot a pair of 44's Sunday. Pretty happy so far on my swing mechanics.

Now if I only could read those effin greens.

Same here on the swing...quality of contact has been better than I expected...I hope this continues.

Speed or line?

So far this season, my speed has been great from 40' and in...but I have 3 jacked twice because of the line.

Pity those late season golf markets.

Bermuda greens here are in great shape but will be faster in about 2 weeks, and the courses with bent greens that aerated in early March are also in great shape...smooth and fast...Bent grass...Apr thru late June, then Sept thru Dec...best time to play in North GA.

A little of both. It's been tough this early in the year as most of the greens are still affected by the aeration done last year. Hard to putt on peg board

At least you have that as an excuse...lol.

I hate putting on aerated greens....rare do I take more than 2 putts a hole on those rounds.

Amazing that on April 1st I walked 9 on a sunny day about 60 degrees and went to the range numerous times the last few weeks. It was 70 degrees last week and I got sunburned laying outside. At one point this week it was 30 degrees and was snowing hard, only in Michigan.

LOL...that can happen in COLO...all in one day.

No lie...in mid August...we played golf...mids 80s on a Monday...something blew over the mountain and the next day, it didn't reach 55...nor the day after, overcast all day like winter just popped in for a couple of days...Thursday temps bounces back in the 80s. I've seen strange weather in COLO, but nothing like that.

For the past 2 weeks I've hit a 5-gallon bucket of balls every day Monday-Friday.

Oh man you guys, after missing the 2013 season with a rotator cuff injury, i finally started to get my game back by the end of the year last fall. Then I suppose from all the snow shoveling, I developed a case of tennis elbow by march and haven't been able to swing. Friggin' doc told me we could cure it with PT. well after waiting another two weeks, I got a shot in my elbow yesterday. Feels good finally but I'm gonna keep a brace on it for another week.

Hoping that I can play my league match next Wednesday but it might be the week after. I don't want the cortisone to wear off and have the pain return. Dammit though, I feel like I could play 18 tomorrow!

Wait, you're having sex with my wife too? You're right, hardly makes the shoveling seem worth it.

It rained all afternoon, and picked up as soon as I got off of work (of course.)

I said fuck it and went out anyways. Hit a Jumbo bucket in the rain. I hit them like complete shit, too.......but I didn't care. I was going to strike some golf balls today and nothing was stopping me.

A few years ago I buckled down and put in some real practice and finally did something as a golfer. Shot -3 and won a huge Open that we hold in Nebraska, qualified for the Amateur, and then finished 3rd in a Regional event.

The past few years I have hit hardly any range and fell back. This year I'm hoping for another one of those good years. Putting in TONS of practice.

Get out to the range, record your swing with your phone, come back home and watch Adam Scott's swing in slow-motion on youtube. Make adjustments, go back out, repeat. The pro's have all the experience that we don't have, and 95% of their swings are flawless. Just pay attention to their hands, their upper body and head, and last but not least the way they shift their weight.

In the end it's all about timing, and if you hit enough range you'll get your timing down. That's what I'm working towards right now.

I promise you all this much, if you make a conscious decision to get your grip right, you will change your game a lot immediately.

Watch some videos on the correct grip and listen to what they have to say. It will change your entire swing.

Every time I do that my (taping my swing or even thinking about hands/head/... my swing goes to shit. I just stick with how my takeaway feels, where the club face ends up at the top of the back swing, not over-rotating and let everything else take care of itself. Seems like when things are going right focusing on those everything else falls into place. Second I start focusing on a specific part of my body it either tightens up or something else doesn't work because I'm focused too much on one thing. But I see a PGA pro about once a month and hit the driving range at least 3 times a week.
