A better answer would be, hes young, hes a UFA and he seems to be able to score goals and is 5'9... So the real answer by Doug would be "Hes a great asset to whoever he signs with, but being 5'9 he doesnt with with what kinda team we are trying to build. We want players with size like John Scott who can protect our young stars" lol

He skates like Torrey Mitchell, good speed and terrible edge work, but he's got decent hands a nasty wrist shot and good hockey IQ. He is a big ice player meaning he benefits tremendously from playing on international sized ice. He could end up being a good middle six forward.

He has a prior relationship with Jarmo K. the Blue Jackets GM so look for them to be a favorite to sign him.

In dougs "we dont know wtf is going on
scheme of things of young talent, he fits... cap space he fits, success, he fits... Should be overpay?? I think so, cause he will be better than any prospect we trade for or draft.... What are your thoughts in that situation Cmon?

It depends on if he is making playing time demands. A lot of times guys like this won't sign unless they are guaranteed certain spots on the NHL roster. Wilson has shown he is willing to burn a year on an ELC to get young ufa's to sign but I doubt he'd be willing to guarantee a roster spot for one and I can't say I'd blame him. If Moses isn't making any demands he is definitely worth going after as the Sharks have had pretty good success with the young ufa's they've signed over the past few years.

The young ufa's I'm most interested in this offseason are Artem Panarin a super high skilled winger who may leave St. Petersburg SKA in the KHL. Then Evan Rodrigues who plays RW on a line with Eichel and O'Regan at BU. O'Regan and Rodrigues have crazy good chemistry. Lastly Matt O'Connor the BU goalie though the Sharks seem to be a long shot to sign him after signing Wisconsin goalie Joel Rumpel.
