Gonna be a TOUGH task. I don't think we have the size to beat them unfortunately. I mean, they have two almost 7' starters, and 2 more to come off the bench. And their back court can definitely stick with ours. Huge uphill climb....but I didn't pick ND to win the whole thing for nothin. ;)

Go Irish!!

only way ND wins is if they can match every 2 pointer scored by Kentucky with a 3. I think ND has a shot if they play the whole game the way they played the second half against the Shockers.

Their back court, the brothers, are pretty good. But ND has the best back court in the nation. Grant and Jackson are boss. Size most certainly will be an issue...have to fill it up from deep. Like Purguy, I'm not the biggest ND BB fan...but I really, really hate UK basketball. Go Irish!!

ND basketball used to live for games like this. Austin Carr ending UCLA's 60something winning streak. 1974 ending UCLA's 88 game streak. 1977 ending San Fransico's 29-0 season. This would be the first in a long time, but not the first.

It would be epic as well...this one would trump those two, close to the UCLA game though...that was a pretty big feat.

UCLA game was bigger. 88 in a row, with Bill Walton, Richard Washington, Marques Johnson, and about 10 others. I don't see anything, short of a championship, topping this.

What is 50/50?
I mean that people want Notre Dame to win, some people hate Notre Dame some hate Kentucky some want to see a team go undefeated and some want to see the big dog get put down.

A lot of people don't like ND, but that's mostly for for football. Unfortunately we havent been good enough lately that people hate us for our basketball. I think most people want to see someone knock off Kentucky, so while they don't care too much about ND, they just want to see Kentucky lose. I honestly think its blowback from the one and done mentality in CBB. Older guys (like me) remember the days when player would win the player of he year award three years in a row (Walton). It made it fun to follow a team. That's not he case as much now.
