Augusta winter is much like ours...been a wet one, especially lately...course is going to look beautiful as always but might play long...if so...any one of about 6 guys I like...Bubba of course...the DL lefts just fit his eye for driving...Spieth? Seems ready to win a major, but I would not bet against Reed.

Not counting him out, but I'm starting to lean against Rory @ Augusta...having that one bad round lately.

Nice!!!

I take it you've been before or no?

If you haven't...I won't spoil it for ya, but I will say this and you've probably heard it before...TV doesn't come close to capturing the elevation change. the drop from 10 tee to 16 green has to be near 400 ft...pace yourself.

I'm going to go with Bubba. He loves this place and has to be filled with confidence due his history there.

Maybe Dustin Johnson is ready to step up and win his 1st major, or.....

Jordan Speith could get it done, or....................

Rory could put 4 rounds together, or.....................

Can't wait to watch, this and the U.S Open are my favorite tourneys of the year.

Bubba...yep...it took Phil several years before he was able to really figure the place out and he had a nice run...I do think Bubba will win another jkt.

DJ does have a good shot...especially if the course plays slow, long.

Stenson is playing well again right now, Kaymer.

McElroy was my pick early in the year but he has gone cold since he got to the States.

Not fair, Hu! He hasn't quit yet. Give him a chance. :rolleyes2:

I hope he starts, and I hope he either bombs badly in the first nine and withdraws, or keeps playing and misses the cut. Either one will do.

Either one is a very likely scenario. He's fooling himself.

I agree, it would be better for him if he didn't play and embarrass himself with one of those two outcomes. He shot a 74 in a practice round, so he's probably feeling like he'll do well.

At what point do we conclude that he's doing it for the money? Or are we already there?

I guess we've been there for a while, but those nefarious media-types have not helped. For years, they've been feeding America this line about how "If Tiger doesn't play, it's bad for [insert tournament name's ratings here]"

He probably believes the same thing.

Okay, no longer any doubt about it:

Tiger Woods will play in the 2015 Masters at Augusta National - CBSSports.com

Tiger Woods announced on Friday that he will play in the 2015 Masters.

"I'm playing in the Masters," Tiger said on his website. "It's obviously very important to me, and I want to be there.

"I've worked a lot on my game and I'm looking forward to competing. I'm excited to get to Augusta and I appreciate everyone's support."

The question, of course, was never one of qualification (past winners are always invited) but rather of desire and ability.

When Woods announced what turned out to be a two-month leave of absence from the sport, he said he wouldn't be back until he was ready to hoist trophies (or slide into jackets, presumably).

"I am committed to getting back to the pinnacle of my game," said Woods on his website back in February. Apparently, the pinnacle is near because Woods says he's prepared for Augusta.
