Is it possible he was actually having leg cramps? He's not 19-years old anymore. Pac has never made excuses or blamed others, he barely said anything negative after the Bradley fight. It's not his style. I am assuming media is mobbing these guys every second they can on a daily basis...highly doubt Pac asked someone to float that he was having leg issues lol.

If the idiot read the story on yahoo, it clearly states that this isn't the first time Pacquiao has dealt with leg cramps ahead of a fight

A week ago, I would have had Floyd winning this thing easily but the closer the fights gets, I kind of have it as a close fight. We will see though.

De La Hoya, who fought them both, is picking Manny. Sad after he fought Pac was impressed with him and thought he would go on to do special things. After he fought Mayweather he thought he was nothing special at all.

Obviously Oscar is full of shit and has his own business interests in mind at least somewhat. But he's also one of the handful of men who has been in the ring with both of them, so I can't dismiss him completely.

But he also said if Manny only fights for 30 seconds of each round like he has been doing in quite a few fights lately, he won't have a chance. He's gonna need to fight the full 3 minutes each round and stay aggressive the whole time. As soon as he starts letting Money do what he wants the fight is as good as over.

I actually agree with his second take, if Mayweather gets to do what he wants, the fight is already over. If Manny can stay aggressive for a full 3 minutes in every round, then it's still an actual fight. However I don't think Manny can do that, and even if he can I still think Mayweather gets a clear and easy decision by hiding and pot shot counter punching. Which is his 100% preferred style anyways.

But I'm interested in hearing the opinions of the other handful of guys who fought both.

Oscar is clearly still bitter at Floyd due to Al Haymon stealing most of the guys under Goldenboy's banner. He only has like 3 name guys on his roster. It's crazy how the media is CLEARLY painting Mayweather as the villain and Manny as some saint. Both of these guys are dirtbags. Heck, I would even say Manny is worse because he's doing all these things in God's name. Nothing is worse to me than a guy who claims he wants to knock a dude out in the name of Jesus. That is an oxymoron in itself.

De La Hoya did fair much better against Mayweather, losing in a split decision, than he did against Manny, so he may be giving an honest opinion. The problem, of course, is that the fight is coming 5 years later than it should have

I remember that fight, and only remembered that one judges whacked out score once you reminded me of it. I think one judge had it 8 rounds to 4 for Mayweather, another had it 7:5. And then one complete disgrace had it like 9 rounds to 3 for De La Hoya. He was so obviously paid off that it's surprising nobody was arrested.

Which is the kind of stuff that scares me about this fight. Every boxing fan knows it happens. We've all seen some of these worked fights. If it happens in this fight, and happens super obviously like that one, boxing will die in that ring in Vegas. If one fighter or the other obviously wins, and the judges go the other way, there is no way for the sport to recover. It will be relegated to an Olympic sport like fencing that nobody even cares about anymore. Except every 4 years, and only for the medal count.

Yep, I honestly have no idea have no idea how some of these judges keep their jobs. I was pulling for Oscar against Floyd, I had 7/5 for Floyd, no idea how Oscar's own mama could have given him 9 rounds

Oscar also had to go the hospital to get IV fluids because he was so dehydrated to make weight. Even Cotto has said in the past that cutting weight took a toll on him making that fight. It's no excuse but it can't be dismissed either.

I think it's an excuse. I used to fight, cutting sucks. But when you hydrate back, you feel like a million bucks

I believe you but he was older at the time and again, the dude needed IV fluids in the hospital so he was clearly dehydrated. I think that's what happened to Chad Dawson when he cut weight to fight Andre Ward. He looked nothing like he normally does.
