Duke would have beaten anyone in the country by double digits that night. I was actually higher on wisconsin after that game than I was before it. The fact that game was close at all proved to me how good Wisconsin is. Nobody in basketball was coming close to duke that night with how they shot it

I think I would be higher on Wisconsin if they didn't get beat convincingly at home to Duke.

Duke is the worst matchup in America for us. Our biggest flaw is defending guards who can attack the hoop, and Tyus Jones is arguably the best in America at that.

Kentucky's guards are more comfortable on the perimeter. They rarely go inside effectively (Ulis is pretty good at attacking and passing, but he rarely scores). If you remember last year's game, James Young was the difference. His size and speed going led to points and isolated the Harrisons on the perimeter (and even then, they weren't very effective). Kentucky doesn't have that this year.

The thing about Kentucky that scares the crap out of me is that their 9th best player is light years better than our seventh best player (or, if Trae is still limited, our 6th best player). They will be rested and fresh throughout the game in a way that our guys won't. But on an individual level, we match up real well against the Wildcats. It's the teams like Duke, Utah, or West Virginia with attacking PGs where we don't.

So were you higher on Duke after that night then?

I can see how Duke is a bad matchup for Wisconsin. I am actually blown away how Duke can go into hostile environments like Wisconsin and Virginia and pull it out like its nothing.

Kentucky just has that swagger like they KNOW they are going to beat you and they think its cute when teams try so hard to hang around but have no energy at the end to play 40 minutes. I could be wrong, but I think a team whether it is Wisconsin, Duke, Arizona, Virginia, Kansas, etc is going to have to play their A++ game to beat Kentucky. I hope I am wrong. I can't stand Callipari and his cockiness.

No I wasn't higher on Duke because I knew they wouldn't play like that all year. Shooting 65 percent is a fluke. Wisconsin playing well enough to still compete in that game was amazing. Most teams would have lost by 30 plus

I honestly think that Wisconsin is the most likely team to beat Kentucky. I am PRAYING they are 1/2 in the Midwest because I believe Wisconsin is the perfect team to beat UK. They have 5 starters who can shoot the 3 and I think that a team that rarely turns the ball over will make UK beat them in the half court. UK's offense is efficient because of their defense and what it creates, NOT because it's an elite half court team.

They will struggle with Wisconsin if that matchup happens.

Also whoever said they think Kansas can win the national championship is out of their fucking mind. I'm sorry. Have you watched that team? There's no way they're making the Final Four this year. NONE

You must not have watched last year's tournament then? Who in the hell would have picked Uconn to win? While I'm not picking Kansas to win, would it surprise me if they did(assuming they are healthy) absolutely not. Could they also lose in the Sweet 16? Yeah, sure. But anybody can lose in the Sweet 16, anybody.

There's nothing crazy about a consensus top 10 making the FF IMO.

As Smart said. Duke is just a bad match up for Wisco. A big reason they shot lights out is because they could get whatever shot they wanted. Every team has a match up problems and DUke is that type of team for Wisco.

I also think Wisconsin would give UK everything they have and probably win.

I remember it being more so that Wisconsin couldn't match Duke's quickness and ability to get to the rim. They shot 65 percent but it really wasn't much of a fluke when you considered the amount of easy and close shots they had. A great night yes, not really a fluke.

I think everyone is victim of this trap every year. We always "get surprised" lol. All we can do is analyze for how things SHOULD GO. Maryland could win the National Championship and next year we will all remember like it was supposed to happen.

The biggest fluke shooting performance I ever saw was the Elite 8 game between Indiana and Kent State from 2002. Indiana shot 15-19 from 3 in that game. Nearly 80 percent. That was the year Kent State had Antonio Gates who was unstoppable. They literally could have won the National Championship that year out of the MAC if Indiana didn't put together the greatest shooting performance in tournament history.

65 percent is a fluke. Period. Quickness or not. If it was that easy it'd happen all the time

Very true. Melo and Dez definitely had success attacking the basket.

Nobody deserved to win the MSU/IU game. Worst closing out of a game I have ever seen in my life.

His basketball IQ is about 40, just even more laughable because it was after a timeout in which Izzo went over the entire game scenario. How do you not know the score?

The top-middle of the BIG right now is a log jam! A lot of teams in that same area.
It seems like Wisconsin hasn't even broken a sweat in getting to the top. Everybody else is fighting for 2nd place.

It's a sad day in Bloomington when IU is handed the game down the stretch and still figure out a way to lose. #firecrean.

Indiana fans were singing his praises when he was hired.
