Went to the Portland Timbers season opener last weekend vs Real Salt Lake.

Yawn...0-0 tie

Now, I know there are hardcore soccer fans that say, "Oh, but it was exciting, right down to the last minute."

I am not one of those fans.

I like soccer. I love world cup, and I casually enjoy going to Timbers games mostly due to the atmosphere and the crowd. Plus my wife likes going and there are a shit load of bars near the stadium that we both love.

My point is, cant they do something about the ties? Can we get a shootout for Christ's sake?

wayched a little today to see how it would be....tv definitely choose to show the game from the right angles. you never see anything but a shoy out from home plate. i imagine the first and third base seats have to be removed from the action. nice win at home though. and im syre david herrera only speaking spanish will go over with the bronx/queens crowds....
