I could put all kinds of former Badger players here in post one. But I wanted to start with someone recent. He really only had one year to make it happen, but man he was fun to watch.

Here's a Badger whose career could have been greatly improved by not being drafted to the Bills.

Last I heard(okay, heard as in used google) of Anthony Davis (A-Train).....he was a part time assistant for Loras College Duhawks. A-Train was a great Wisconsin back.

How about Troy Vincent. One of the all time college greats at CB....and a likely NFL hall of famer despite a slow start to his pro career.
Former president of the NFL Players Association. Current Vice President of NFL Players Engagement(formerly player development) Recently won the Leadership In Sport Award ![]() ![]()

A former Badger and ex-marine. Wood was a backup at Wisconsin, but he's making big moves in the real world.

It is really hard to have to see 2011 alum Gabe Carimi in a Bears jersey, but the dude probably has a great career ahead of him. Best to you, Gabe.

Saw this one coming. John Clay is a Steeler. Coach Tomlin came around to personally speak with Clay back before the draft. Clay will get a fair chance. Good luck, 32. Smack some heads.

Scott Tolzien is a Charger. Thanks for the last two seasons, 16. Won't be forgetting you anytime soon, that's for sure.

Way to go Niles Brinkley, landed a shot at the Steelers roster. Go get'em!
![]() And David Gilreath....don't you dare go thinking that we'll ever forget you either. I don't really like the Colts, but I hope you run back 6 next year. Get it done!

Blake Sorenson to the Seattle Seahawks. Couldn't have asked a senior to step up and play bigger than Blake did. Personally, I thought it was great seeing him hammer the final nail in Ohio State's coffin last October. Go show them what you can do Blake.
![]() Sorenson joins second round draft pick and one of the all time GREAT Badger linemen, John Moffitt, who was already a Seahawk. John Moffitt, we're gonna miss your game, and your sense of humor. See you at the pro bowl. ![]()

How about the Cowboy (are you kidding me Bill? Well I guess it wasn't your fault) Bill Nagy. Unsung hero of the best offensive line we may have ever had in Wisconsin.

So. I think I need to make sure Al Toon gets on the list early. One of the all time great Badgers, a Madison resident(and I say native, he's been here long enough) and a 3 time pro bowler for the New York Jets. Al retired at only 29 due to concussions, but racked up some heavy stats, including a 93 catch season in 1988. He is now on the board of directors of National Guardian Life insurance company.
Stay healthy Al, and thanks for keeping Nick around town. ![]() ![]()

Here you go Forkem, this here JJ Watt is quite a beast, and clearly showed how great of a player he was. He took it to the Bucks last year with his aggressive play.

So speaking of JJ Watt... As a Badger fan, I'm pretty grateful that he had the heart to get to where he wanted to go in the first place, on the field at Camp Randall, smoking Terelle Pryor under the big lights on national TV. Best of luck to you JJ, I think you're gonna be a great pro! And I heard you're already making a lot of friends down in Houston.

I guess i'll add one of my favorite players of recent years, O'Brien Schofield. His Senior Year (2009) saw him making stop after stop behind the line of scrimmage, even to the point of overshadowing the burgeoning JJ Watt. He finished the year with 12 sacks and 23.5 TFLs. More impressive, though, was listening to his fiery pregame speeches from the Badger student section. He got his team fired up, and was exactly the type of leader the Badgers needed. He was picked in the 4th round by the Cardinals after suffering an injury in the Senior Bowl (he was projected to go in the 2nd beforehand). Here's hoping that he has success in the NFL and beyond.
