He will still get a ring as it is voted on by the players who gets rings so ooh well. Not like he was even gonna get to play in the game. He is listed as the #5 WR and considering the pats mostly go with 2 TE, he stood no chance. He didn't even play special teams.

People on the bottom of rosters get cut and re-signed all the time depending on the opponent. He understands the drill, and will probably be on their practice squad at the start of next season. This really doesn't mean much.

And otherwise he might actually take a couple snaps, throw a couple blocks, or maybe even catch a pass in the Superbowl. No biggie.

Still gets paid, got to be on the team that at least went to the SB, and got to do all the media week stuff. Sucks for the guy that replaced him. He gets half the paycheck and missed all the cool stuff leading up. Now he gets to be the guy that kicked Tijuan off the team, gets paid half as much, and his first snaps will be in the superbowl. Good luck not letting nerves get to you, bet he hurls on the sideline or on the field.
