Actually I think it is pretty decent of the cable company to step up this quick. If the guy doesn't want to deal with it this wouldn't be too bad especially when they could of just fired the guy and said "We are really sorry and will make sure that our technicians in the future ....blah blah blah"

If he wants to go for more I would start with "Where did they come up with $100 for the value of the dog" and if he had to take them to court what would he end up with after considering time spent in court and filing fees.
