Default Fox news moving more to the center?

trying an unfamiliar tactic...relying on news reporting, in a more fair and balanced means, inching closer to center...and apparently its costing them some of their viewers.

Fox News 'course correction' rankles some - Keach Hagey - POLITICO.com

They didn't need to....... Don't fix it if it ain't broken.......

but overall, Fox leans about as far right as cnn leans left.....

There needs to be some additional conservative channels added that counter CurrenTv, Free speech TV, and MSNBC that are all far left.

lol, thats funny since the conservative radio host mentioned, John Fredericks, said since Fox has become fair and balanced, he has stopped watching Fox and turned to CNN.

I don't know who john fredericks is, but it doesn't change what I said about how many more outlets there are to hear whack job libs spewing crackpot ideas vs. places to hear conservative viewpoints. Fox has been fair and balanced for years - many times pissing me off to how much of the other side they present. Bill o'reilly attacks conservatives all the time - its never held any water when whiney libs bitch about Fox being too far right. - Bull shit.

^^^^ lol, haven't seen them for awhile...

But I think its funny when I hear people make this comment...... so, what is so special about network news (the big 3 that all continually suck the dnc's balls) vs. cable news - What the fuck is so majically better about nbc, cbs, abc??? Dan rather and others have taken their credibility and flushed it down the drain.

well, you've got a point there. they are all complete jokes and hacks. just trying to push their networks respective agendas.

if there are any that report the news, without opinion...well that'd be a better alternative, but its hard to find

Bill O'rapist is a fucking idiot and needs to go back to Inside Edition. That faggot isn't any better than the National Enquirer.

a suggestion that Media Matters publish an anti-Fox News book under Brock's name. "The Fox Effect," co-written by Brock and the Media Matters organization, is due for release next week.

seems kinda pointless, the only people that will read it will be the people that already know the way they operate

Fox is as far right as MSNBC is to the left.

CNN is more center.

Daily kos = Drudge on different sides.

The fact that Fox is losing viewers by moving more to center simply reinforces how tilted to the right they are. What other viewers would they be losing for moving more center?

I think he was implying that he doesn't like Politico because someone that used to work there took ideas from MediaMatters, as well as other sources, for his stories.

Sean hannity is the only equal to its opponents time slot. Yes, he is far right. The rest of the night doesn't come close. pmsnbc spends every night from 6-12 doing nothing but juvenile hateful attacking of conservatives. They are the obama re-election team.

It does. Kos is like Hoopla if it were only political talk and all the members were Leader and other libtardians. The thing about libtards is they are fearful lil' creatures. If you view the "Kos," you'll see them gang-slamming whomever they fear the most that week. Apparently, they fear Romney now and support any little successes from Santorum and Newt.

While Drudge is just news links from other sources.

That was the most retarded comparison I've seen in some time. Pretty impressive thar Mysfit.

This confirms a suspicion I've held since Brit Hume worked there - a lot of the Fox people are actually good, capable journalists who have been molding their opinions and reports to fit Ailes' narrative. Now they're being given a new story to tell.

I've disavowed both parties, as both Liberalism and Conservatism are outmoded political stances that are holding mankind back. But when I was a democrat, I would still listen to Rush Limbaugh, and there were things which I agreed with him about, and other things he said I would simply dissect. He never really upsets me or anything.

A lot of right-wingers don't have that facility - they can't question their own beliefs, and don't like them being questioned by others. That's why so much of the airtime in conservative media is dedicated to reaffirming those beliefs (interpreting current events) over and over again, in the absence of any reasonable opposing voice. In fact, a good portion of the remaining time is dedicated to attacking other voices ('Mainstream Media'). There's a local conservative call-in show here, and the guy will let these two Democrats take it over a couple of times a year, and you can hear the callers get upset and angry when these guys do their thing. "I thought this was a conservative show!"

Perhaps, those angry callers think the entire "Mainstream Media" having a leftist slant is enough "opposing voice?"
