Has our military become surgical enough to wipe out their entire government and ruling class? Or enough of it to weaken the survivors to a point where they no longer hold enough power to keep their moderate subjects at bay?

Israel may have our shit, but they don't have our manpower. In order to take Iran out without them dragging things down into an occupation or going nuclear, you're going to have to absolutely overwhelm them...particularly with air and sea power. Think Israel is going to do that without our help from several thousand miles away? The only shot they have is airpower....and ICBM. We've had to talk them down from going nuclear in the past. Do you really want them in charge?

I agree. IF Iran has the capabilities to strike Israel with ICBMs that can't be intercepted, they don't need to be nuclear if they can hit Israel's nuclear power plants, bases, major cities. Their goal is to kill all jews then they will be attacking main cities. If they launch missiles that can't be intercepted the Israel could take drastic measures...

didn't know there were such missiles? I figured they'd just invade Iraq, now that we're out, and take a beeline right to Israel via their buddies in Syria. Of course, that convoy would be hamburger before it got 1/2 way there.

Just tell Saudi Arabia to go kick their ass and they can have Iran's oil when its over. They'd probably do it to. Those nations have hated each other for 1000s of years. Persians and Arabs don't get along
