Newt is a fucking lunatic. I've lost a lot of respect for people's opinions. I mean how many times do I have to tell you, he doesn't really understand the constitution. He actually believes that the office of the president should abolish the 9th circuit court of appeals for determining that the word God can't be in the pledge of allegiance.

Here's some critical thinking for those of you who agree with Newt.

1. The pledge of allegiance has been used in official capacity.

2. "under God" was added by Congress in 1956

3. But the constitution says that Congress shall write no laws respecting(regarding) religion.

4. God is a religious symbol. For those of you who find it impossible to accept the possibility that there is no God...it doesn't matter...because the government of the United States is no to use legislation to accomplish the task of normalizing any particular belief...including the belief in God that not everyone shares.

5. It's also a frivolous suggestion on Newt's part, and it's divisive at best, considering most Americans will still say the pledge whether it includes "under God" or not.

6. Yet he was allll worked up about it when I saw him speak on that issue, which accomplishes nothing toward solving our real issues.

Next up, he wants to build that border fence that WON'T STOP ILLEGAL CROSSINGS no matter how much we all want it to. They've been going underground for decades...people...

So can you guys tell me what it is he's said that you all like so much?

Not saying I am into Newt or any candidate who will face Obama right now. I am leaving all my options open. But I can tell you what, I won't be voting for Obama after the shit he pushed through Congress in his last term. And yes, I am one of the Republicans who voted outside of my party for Obama in 2008. We all make mistakes I guess.

You are misinformed.

Gingrich only suggested removing judges as a possibilty to combat activist judges that make ruling based off of their agenda rather than the will of the people.

I think it's a bold idea that would need everything to go just right for it to be the way he invisions it, but I am glad to hear that he is not willing to forfeit space exploration to the Chinese and Russians.

The US hasn't been forfeiting Space exploration. They stopped funding exploration to the moon. Not space. We still have programs with eyes set on Mars and beyond.

According to Bush, but Obama canceled the Constellation program.

I'm pretty sure we have begun forfeiting space, when NASA's budget & personel were cut in half.

US funding of space under Obama consists of "space taxis" to take us to & from the space station, no further.

Space exploration is something that has to be eliminated for the time being in our current economic situation. I think everyone should understand that.

I agree for now (not eliminated, but slowed), but we can still dream & prepare.

Looking into it further, that's all Obama has done. He has delayed everything for 5 to 10 years to help fund other projects.
