A lot of it yes. I recall our current President (who supposedly was not a "career politician"), making all kinds of "promises" en sech, that ended up being bullshit. It's the nature of the beast.

If they'd get the entitlements monster under control (especially the baby-boomers raping the young for the next 20 years), we'd have money for all kinds of cool reasearch in energy and space and all the neato stuff that propels mankind forward.

On the flip-side, we could become Greece. The publicly owned stock of Apple just became worth more than the entire country of Greece. Entitlements run amok does that in a hurry.

He has, for 15 years, been an advocate of the individual mandate so this idea that it was only a reaction to HillaryCare is disingeniousness at best. Repealing PPACA is supposedly the number one issue for Republican voters yet BOTH candidates are on the "wrong" side of that issue until less than one year ago...it's comical.
