Default Rick Santorum

31 Rick Santorum Quotes That Prove He Would Be A Destructive President | Addicting Info

2. “There are people who were gay and lived the gay lifestyle and aren’t anymore. I don’t know if that’s the similar situation or that’s the case for anyone that’s black. It’s a behavioral issue as opposed to a color of the skin issue, and that’s the diff for serving in the military.”
~Rick Santorum, comparing homosexuality to being black.

^^^ This is the teaching of Evangelicals

7. “One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country. It’s not okay. It’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be. [Sex] is supposed to be within marriage. It’s supposed to be for purposes that are yes, conjugal…but also procreative. That’s the perfect way that a sexual union should happen…This is special and it needs to be seen as special.”
~Rick Santorum, opposing contraception and frighteningly suggesting that he would make pre-marital sex illegal.

Yeah, I can't fuck you or live with you until we're married. This is the quickest way to divorce.

17. “What we should be teaching are the problems and holes and I think there are legitimate problems and holes in the theory of evolution. And what we need to do is to present those fairly from a scientific point of view. And we should lay out areas in which the evidence supports evolution and the areas in the evidence that does not.”
~Rick Santorum, claiming that evolution theory isn’t accurate.

the list goes on...

Thanks for calling me names.

I'm still married too. 8 years thank you.

But I know a lot of people who are divorced because they never lived together before they got married. Figure out the argument, I don't want to explain it to you.

Then they should know what marriage is before they do it. The selfish and non disciplined people should not get married. They shouldn't have sex either. I don't want to pay for their weaknesses.

The #2 and #17 quotes are dumb.

I can understand where he is coming from on number 7 with his religious views and all, but you can't fight contraception in a country that is so influenced by sex.

Great, how would he fix the economy? deal with Iran? Would he repeal the Patriot Act? What is his stance on the on going drug war that is wasteful spending in this country.

I don't care what his stance is on gays. I don't care about if he thinks having sex out of wedlock is wrong or right. I'm not interested in his views on the history of man.

This country is fucked up because everyone is obsessed with BULLSHIT and they keep getting fed that BULLSHIT from BULLSHIT sources and they pass it around on the net trying to make it seem like these things matter. Well they don't and I don't fucking care what any BULLSHIT poll says.

God we are soo fucked.

Well yeah man I believe all that shit too.

The point I'm trying to make here is that this is a man who will try to instill his religious beliefs on the rest of the country. And that can't happen.

It never used to be about religion and all that shit. But I'm am a Republican who believes the party has been hijacked by these religious freaks who wants to shove all that religious stuff down our throats.

We can't have a right-wing religious nut opposing Obama in November if we want to rid him of the White House. Thus, Santorum's wacky sayings needs to be pointed out.

You're right, we are fucked.

in some states it is illegal for minors to have consensual sex.

say, in Florida, a 17 year old boy sleeps with a 16 year old girl, with mutual consent, the 16 year olds parents would then charge the 17 year old boy with statutory rape, even though there was consent.

I like Newt because of all the things we should be focusing on, other than religion.

I also like Romney because of his economic experience and it looks like he has the best chance against Obama.

He isn't going to win the primary. McCain came in fourth in the 08 Iowa Caucas, and won the primary.

PS, I don't think a candidate's religious extremism is BS.

It means something to me when that person has the power to appoint Supreme Court Justices, who then use their so-called objective pov as the final say.

Most of the time they posture and say things to cater to the audience the are speaking too. It would not surprise me one bit if Rick has a couple whores on speed dial that he likes to get freaky with. Everyone in washington is corrupte and has skeletons, otherwise they wouldn't be in washington.

I agree that divorce and out of wedlock births are destroying America. Statistics point to this fact. Children brought up in single family homes are far less likely to succeed in life then those in a two parent family.
1 in 3 people in America have been divorced and 40% of births in 2008 were to single mothers.
This is a problem but maybe this message needs to be brought to the "Church" rather than legislated by politicians.
The problem is the church has become a microcosm of our culture. Mega churches with the "name it - claim it" doctrine, Millions spent on buildings while the poor (to include the churches poor) go hungry. The church used to form societies moral attitudes but it also provided assistance to those who needed it. This gave it relevance. Today's society does not find it relevant because there is no help there even to those who are a member of it.

According to a 2008 survey (George Barna) 33% of the U.S. population has had at least 1 divorce. Of those who identify themselves as "born again christians" 33% has also had at least 1 divorce.

Atheists sampled were 30% (no difference when a sampling error rate of 3% is considered).

I don't have any idea for the statistics of out of birth wedlock in the church vs. society overall but my experiential evidence indicates it is just as high in teenagers if not higher. This evidence from working with an "evangelical christian" school in my younger years. The birthrate of their students were significantly higher than those in the corresponding public school for the area.

The problem is the church will not discuss it without judging and ostracizing those who are in the position of going through a divorce or out of wedlock birth. They bury their head in the sand and pretend it is everyone else who has a problem and if they were just like them then they wouldn't have this problem. Well guess what born againers? They are just like you. They are you and maybe Santorum might do better taking his message to the church before he tells society how they should be like him.

Yep, of course many people ignored them.

So all of you call this stuff BS and choose to ignore it too, just like the last time.

Religious fanatics want to take over this country just like the marxists. And if you choose to ignore one man's ideology because you think it's all BS, well look what we get stuck with.
