Byron Marshall - Yahoo! Sports

Should see the field by his 2nd year.

Marshall has a ton of potential.

I agree that he's probably a redshirt next season, barring a couple injuries.

him and DAT in the backfield down the road will be great, but we also have several young RBs on our roster now that are talented and should see the field as soon as next year. We are starting to get overload at the RB position.

If LaMichael decides to stay (in all likelihood he's gone) there would be a huge backlog of RBs.

DAT, Marshall and Carson would be a sick combo.

Yeah, I was looking ahead to 2013.

I'm hoping Barner has Jeremiah Johnson type of senior season.

I think that's all part of Chip's plan. He just grabs fast athletes, and then finds a position for them. It's an open competition, and if you're good, you get touches.

Apparently, Kyle Long is the son of Howie Long.

And, he only has one year of eligibility.

Solid Class IMO. Lots of help for the DL with immediate help from Arik Armestead.

We whiffed on a couple LBs, but we do have a preferred walk-on in Dawson Housley.

Another strong WR class...not sure we needed 3 more, but Addison is likely going to be used in multiple roles.

Very strong WR class.....again....

Overall good recruiting class. I think these guys help us down the road not so much immediate role players like last years class. Most these guys I see redshirting.

Also from what I hear Armstead will start at D-Line like he wishes, but will eventually move to O-Line where he belongs.
