Really? I mean, I'm not a fan of his in general...but in this situation? They both agreed to fight after a scrum which occurred as the result of a cheap play.

I think slew foots are up after they eliminate "Cookeing someone" or in laymens terms elbowing an unsuspecting player in the head. I'm not advocating this at all, but the NHL definitely has some more important things to look at eliminating from the game first. Plus at this point in the game the refs had let it get totally out of control due to selecting reffing and bad interpretation of the rulebook.

Either way it shouldn't have happened though.

I havent seen Kovy run from any fight, thats one thing I dont hate about him. Probably the only thing. He seems to hate Avery with a passion.

Pretty hard to fight when your pinned against the boards. Would have loved to see Zach KO Kovies Bitch ass.. Oh well we'll see how bad Kovy gets it next game, I hope he gets his pussy face busted open.. If Kovy was sooooo adamant about sticking up for a team mate he could have pulled Simmonds out of the scrum even while he was bitch slappin Volchenkov.

Can't blame kovy for rinaldo not fighting kovy was tied up on the boards as well.If kovy got off the boards rinaldo could have as well.kovy has also fought guys his size he did fight phanuef who was a mismatch for kovy.I also believe if the roles were reversed we wouldn't be having this conversation.As for simmonds I wouldn't call sucker punching someone on the boards Bitch slapping.I do however expect bad blood next game
